Essay On Schools

Crafting an essay on the subject of schools can be both a challenging and rewarding endeavor. The
difficulty lies not in the scarcity of information, but rather in the vastness of the topic. Schools
encompass a multitude of aspects, including their history, educational philosophies, organizational
structures, impact on students, societal roles, and the ongoing debates surrounding education.

To start, delving into the history of schools requires sifting through centuries of educational
evolution, from ancient societies to modern systems. Understanding the diverse educational
philosophies adds another layer of complexity, as theories from renowned thinkers like John Dewey,
Maria Montessori, and others have shaped the landscape of learning.

Examining the organizational structures of schools involves exploring administrative hierarchies,

curriculum development, and the dynamic relationships between teachers, students, and parents. The
essay must navigate the intricate web of policies, regulations, and reforms that influence the
functioning of educational institutions.

The impact of schools on students is a multifaceted area, encompassing academic achievement, social
development, and emotional well-being. This requires a thorough examination of educational
psychology, pedagogical methods, and the role of extracurricular activities.

Schools are not isolated entities but integral parts of society. Therefore, analyzing their broader
societal roles involves exploring the intersection of education with culture, economics, and politics.
Addressing the ongoing debates, such as standardized testing, school funding, and the digital
transformation of education, adds a contemporary dimension to the essay.

In conclusion, writing an essay on schools demands a comprehensive understanding of their

historical, philosophical, organizational, societal, and contemporary aspects. Navigating through this
diverse terrain requires meticulous research, critical thinking, and the ability to synthesize
information cohesively. Despite its challenges, such an essay can offer valuable insights into the
complexities of the educational system.

East-West Schism Vs. Eastern Orthodox Christianity
For the first one thousand years of their existence, these churches were the same
institution. The split between the Western and Eastern Christian churches into the
Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox churches is referred to as the Great Schism or,
more definitively, the East West Schism , which occurred in 1054. This occurred due to
long running cultural and theological differences, power struggles, and lack of
communication. Prominently they argued over what type bread (leavened vs.
unleavened) to use to represent the body of Christ in the Eucharist. Each side had
developed different traditions. But how different are they really? They have so much in
common, what exactly do they believe that made them diverge?
Both the Roman Catholics and the Orthodox Christians agree on which scriptures are the
recognized gospels, on the same seven sacraments/mysteries. They share similar beliefs
of who Mary was and see her as their greatest saint.
Despite the fact that both are branches of Christianity as a whole, Eastern Orthodox
Christianity and Roman Catholicism seem to have poor opinions of each other. They
share many core beliefs regarding Jesus ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As far as confessing sins, the Orthodox are similar in the regard they confess their sins
in intercession with the clergy and they will be absolved of them. The Eastern
Orthodox believes that the Virgin Mary was capable of sin, but resisted it her whole
life. For if she was created without sin, then this would mean she wasn t human. They
don t accept she was born with sin, because they don t believe in original sin, as
previously stated. The Catholic Church believes she was conceived and born without it.
They reject the idea of the Immaculate Conception as well, while the Catholic Church
declared it as a dogma (principles laid down as incontrovertible

Neanderthal and Early Modern Humans Essay
Neanderthal and Early Modern Humans

The history of life on earth goes back to millions of years. Many species and creatures
evolved and changed through time, leading up to what we know today as, modern man.
One of the creatures most similar to modern man is the Neanderthals; they are sometimes
referred to as early modern humans.

An article entitled Early man steered clear of Neanderthal romance by Michael Hopkin,
explains that there was a discovery that early human ancestors of modern man did not
breed with their cousins, the Neanderthals, according to DNA that has been studied.
Neanderthals vanished from Europe between 30,000 and 40,000 years ago, roughly the
time that truly modern man made his first appearance in ... Show more content on

There were 24 Neanderthal remains and 40 early modern human remains that were
studied. The bimolecular preservation of DNA of five early humans and four
Neanderthals was helpful enough for the preservation.

All four Neanderthals yielded the mtDNA sequences similar to those previously
determined from Neanderthal individuals, whereas none of the five early modern
humans contained such mtDNA sequences. In combination with current mtDNA data,
this excludes any large genetic contribution by Neanderthals to early modern humans, but
does not rule out the possibility of a smaller contribution (Serre, 16 March 2004).

Therefore, early modern humans and Neanderthals could have been around and breeding
at the same time, it is just a small chance.

Between 30,000 and 40,000 years ago, Neanderthals were gone from Europe (where
these fossils were found). Right around that time, the early modern humans were
beginning to migrate to parts of Europe. This brings up the point that it could be possible
that Neanderthals and early modern humans came eye to eye, but no one knows what the
reactions and attitudes were like if that were true. This is a question of the history of life,
did they exist simultaneously, and did they interact?

Despite intense research efforts, no consensus has been reached about the genetic
relationship between early modern humans and archaic human forms such as the
Neanderthals (Serre, 16 March 2004). It is a
The Guide Of The Perplexed
Summary of The Guide of the Perplexed
Maimonides is a twelfth century, Jewish philosopher, and author of The Guide of the
Perplexed. In the essay, Maimonides explains how educated individuals with knowledge
of the divine science are to understand God s secrets. He states that the secrets are
explained through parables and riddles. Those who explain the secrets cannot fully
describe them so they must use obscure language. Educated men in Maimonides essay
have knowledge manifested to them through God by lightning flashes that are dictated
by how willing the men are to allow themselves have a more internal understanding of the
knowledge presented to them.
Maimonides treatise is meant to clarify the meanings of the prophecies used in the
books of prophecy for those men who have studied philosophy and religion. Equivocal
terms are open to one or more meanings while univocal means when a word only has
one meaning. Derivative terms are words that are derived from another or root word of
the same meaning. Lastly, amphibolous terms are words that are either univocal or
equivocal. (5) While the treatise is meant to explain those terms, in no way is it supposed
to be an explanation for the books of prophecy for the scripturally uneducated or vulgar .
Maimonides states that while the men who have studied scripture and God are perplexed
as they try to understand the above mentioned terms, it is their decision to either allow or
deny themselves to be drawn to try to understand both
