Answer 1
I don't think that the statement is accurate as organization behaviour courses are not only
beneficial for people in management careers but also across various other professionals and
levels. Organization behaviour helps us understand the feelings, thoughts, and actions of people
within the organization. () This can be across levels and doesn’t have to be only Managerial
positions. At any level understanding organization behavior helps one to understand group
dynamics, how to resolve issues or conflicts within the team or in an outside environment, how
to work as a team and get work done by coordinating with others. It also helps one work on
his/her social skills. Learning how to work as a team is essential, especially in today’s world and
its dynamics. Post Covid, a lot of organizations are practicing work-from-home or hybrid models
wherein working from a remote location & coordinating with your teammate from another
location has become a daily routine. Organization Behavior courses also delve into motivation,
job satisfaction, and your commitment to the organization. Organization behaviour revolves
around understanding your strengths and then developing your career within the organization,
which subsequently leads to the organization's growth. Not only this but organization behaviour
courses also help in leadership development which doesn’t only include managerial roles but at
any level wherein an individual can learn decision-making, communication strategies, and so on.
Thus, would conclude that the friend’s views in incorrect as the scope of organization behavious
is far beyond just managerial roles.

Answer 2

The Phrase, “People are our most important assets” focuses on the contribution of the employee
to the organization through his/her education, expertise, awareness, and other abilities along with
admitting that organization’s success depends on its people while managing them and creating an
effective workplace. In today’s world, to gain a competitive advantage, organizations are
emphasizing on individual growth through various training & development initiatives along with
creating a sense of ownership towards the organization. Organizations focus on how human
capital is essential for the durability of the organization & cannot be taken over by technology.
This also improves the efficiency of the organization as it is investing in its employee’s growth &
development and in turn keeping the employees motivated. While individual growth is important
working as a team & collaborating and encouraging open communication also contributes to the
organization’s success. Human Capital thrives by executing different duties in unfamiliar
situations as they are also open to change and adapt to it quickly. To make an organization
human capital-centric factors such as teamwork, learning, and mentoring activities, stimulated
work environment, self-accountability, and providing strong leadership to inspire employees in
their pursuit of greater achievements (Sawa &Swift, 2013).

Answer 3

The three strategies that the Canadian Government are cost leadership strategy, Focus strategy,
and Best Cost strategy.

Cost leadership strategy means to get a competitive edge by delivering products at a cheaper cost
as compared to its competition. Reducing the cost and remaining profitable can be a challenge
but has been successfully managed by firms like Walmart (Edwards, 2014).
Organizations using focus strategy segment their market and focus on a selected group of
customers and provide them with differentiating or cost-effective products. One such example
within Canada is Papa Murphy’s which provides inexpensive pizzas as they are baked at home
(Edwards, 2014).
Organizations that provide a considerably lower cost along with differentiating products are the
ones who follow the best cost strategy. Netflix is an apt example of the same (Edwards, 2014).

In all these strategies, HR has the most important role of managing the human capital and they
can contribute to these strategies by optimizing their productivity at each stage from production
to customer service, and can focus on cost efficiency by implementing performance-based
incentive structures. (Edwards, 2014).

The demand for HR managers in the Canadian labor market within any organization is impacted
by four major trends which include Technological, Demographical, Economical, and Cultural
attributes.
With Technology constantly being upgraded and with artificial intelligence coming into play a lot
of HR policies must be revised or introduced which are employee friendly that creates a culture
of flexible work environment, connectivity, and knowledge sharing, HR manager plays a major
role in engaging the employees especially while they work from remote areas. (Randstad, 2023;
Saunders &Maxwell, 2003)
Demographic factors like the aging population, gender balance within the organization,
education fulfillment of workers, and generation shift have created ample requirements for
skilled workers. HR plays a significant role in the recruitment, training, and retention of these
new hires. (Randstad, 2023; Saunders & Maxwell, 2003).
The Economic factors such as globalization, business expansion, peak and contraction phases of
the economic cycle, and the overall performance of the organization has a huge impact on the
HR Manager. Opportunities to hire skilled workforce, manage them, train and motivate them is
how HR can contribute to the organization’s success. (Edwards, 2014).

Today Canada’s culture includes Diversity, inclusion and equality which has to be incorporated
and sustained in the organization with sensitivity by the HR managers. Supporting
communication, exchanging values of diversified cultures, and promoting inclusion training
programs, etc. are a few initiatives that HR managers are taking these days (Edwards,2014).
