Chapter 1 General Information

Chapter 1 General Information

Thank you for using the Computerized Control System for Flat Knitting Machine

developed by Beijing DAHAO Technology Corp ., Ltd. It is appreciated that you do read this

manual carefully so as to operate the machine correctly and effectively. Besides that, you

should keep this manual properly for future use.

1.1 Security Items

The machine's power system is strictly restricted on its nameplate, and


Caution if the input voltage fluctuation is over a range of ±10%, one voltage
regulator will be of necessity.

Caution The power wires must be fixed and have safety protection.

The machine should be grounded with the earth terminal, or you may
Caution be struck by electricity.
Don't try to repair the electrical components by yourself. Otherwise, it
may depress the equipment's capability, thus causes the system’s
Caution instability, enlarges malfunction’s bound or even makes personnel injury
and the loss of property.
DO NOT open the controller box while power on! Some parts inside box

Open the cover of controller box after switching off the power. And you
Warning must wait more than 1 minute to let the capacitors discharge before
touching the spare parts inside.

Never touch any running parts at embroidering; otherwise it may easy

Never expose the machine to humidity gas, poisonous gas, water, and

The power switch of this product has the function of over-current

1.4 Function Introduction

1.4.1 Adjustment on Speed

The knitting speed is adjustable.

1.4.2 Accuracy Control on Needle Selection

The high-frequency solenoid can pick up each needle accurately.

If the circumstances, such as yarn breakage, knot, or yarn used –up, occur at the knitting,

the system will stop the machine automatically and give warning.

1.4.4 Color-changing

Yarn feeders, (2*8 groups, 16 feeders in total) installed at the both sides of 4 guides,

allow the users to shift them at any position on needle bed.

1.4.5 Capacity of Pattern

The external pattern shall be saved into the memory before knitting. The basic memory

of this system is 1024*4096 stitches. But this capacity can be enlarged according to the

users’ demands (for the different models, the basic capacity of memory is not same).

1.4.6 Number of Patterns Stored

The system can store 400 patterns at most (For the different models, the number of

patterns stored is not same). This number is the max amount of the patterns stored at the

memory.

1.4.7 Pattern Input/output via U Disk

There is USB port on the control box. Via the U disk, user can upload the patterns to the

memory. Via the same port, the patterns in the memory can be downloaded to U disk in

certain format.

1.4.8 Repetition of Knitting

For the existing pattern, user can use this function to realize the automatic start-up. The

number of repetition can be set. After the set rows are knitted, the machine starts to

perform the normal knitting.

1.4.9 Cyclic Knitting

When activating this function, the machine will continue the knitting upon the

completion of the set cycle.

1.4.10 Jumping Row Knitting

The user can arrange the pointed patterns to jump to a random row for knitting.

The system can remember the working status at the moment of instantaneous

power-off, thus enables the machine to continue the working after the sudden black-out.

The system will automatically record the information of problem so that user can easily

find out the reason of that problem.

1.4.13 Edition to Pattern in Memory

User can edit the patterns in memory or have parts of the pattern modified.

1.4.14 Touching Panel

User can operate each main function of machine on the touching panel.

2.1 Structure of Operation Box and Its Instruction

2.1.1 Structure of Operation Box

(1)LCD Displayer(Touching Panel)

This machine uses high light LCD displayer.

(2)USB Port

This model can use the U disk to input or output the data, meanwhile user can also

attach the floppy device via that USB port.

2.1.2 Instruction on Usage of USB Disk

Pay attention to static at using the USB disk. Before using the U disk, please touch the

metal stand or the operation bar to release the electricity.

User needs pay attention on the direction at inserting the USB Disk. Don’t pull out the U

disk suddenly at inputting date into it. If the U disk is pulled out or the power is off when the

system still inputs data to the U disk, the data may be lost. At this time, the user shall check

the data on the disk via the computer, and we recommend you to use the U disk after the

repair on data.

Attention: If the U Disk is pulled out or cut off the power supply at the process of

initialization, it may cause the unrecoverable damage to the U disk.

2.2 Instruction on Keyboard

The keyboard on the operational panel is coordinated with the LCD displayer at using.

The user can press the corresponding key on the keyboard for operating a function displayed

on the LCD screen. Meanwhile, the statuses of some hotkeys on the panel are

correspondingly displayed on the main interface.

Attention:On different models, the positions of some keys may be different.

2.3 Operation of Touching Panel

User can use the following 3 methods to perform the relating operations:

Single click (Press)

This operation, similar to that on the mouse, is used on each main button, form or list

on the screen. With a single click on the button, user can select the corresponding item on

the list or the form.

Double click

This operation, similar to that on the mouse, is used at disk manage window, pattern

manage window and the small keyboard with multiple-usage buttons. With a double click on

the catalogue at disk management window, user can have access to that catalogue. Double

click on the pattern file at the disk management window is to input the pattern while the

same operation at pattern management window is to select the pattern for knitting. At the

small keyboard with multiple-usage buttons like , keeping click will have the system
display g, h, i and 3 in order and cycle.

Holding

This operation is to press a button and hold it for 3 seconds. With this operation, user

can have the Reset Key realize its function.

2.5 Input of Numbers, Letters or Marks

At inputting the number, user can press “ ” to input the dot, press “ ” to
input minus. If there are numbers and letters or marks on a key, the user can select anyone

of them by pressing that button with the corresponding times(the times for pressing is

determined by the order number of that wanted figure). For an example, if the user presses

continuously for three times, the input letter will be “i”. “ ” (Clearance Key) is
used to clear the lastly input number, letter or mark.

2.6 Method for Moving Icon

By pressing the direction keys “ ”or the corresponding number keys,

user can move the icon to the target item. In some interfaces, user can hold the “ ”or

“ ” to move the icon in cycle at the existing interface.

2.7 Operation for Turning on/off

2.7.1 Turn on

(1)Close the main switch on machine.

(2)Press the green key to power the machine.

2.7.2 Turn off

(1)In the main interface, press “ ” to enter the “Machine Setting

Window”. Then select “System Parameter” to enter the “Other Functions” (Please refer to

Chapter 7).

(2)Press “ ”to move the icon to the key for turning off, then press

“ ” to activate the window, at last press “ ” again for turning off system.
(3)When these operations are finished, the screen will shows “The computer is

turned off. Wait for cutting the power”.

(4)Press the red key to turn off the power.

(5)Cut off the main switch on machine.

2.8 How to Start Knitting

2.8.1 Working Mode of Flat-knitting Machine

There are three working modes in the computer:

(1)Ready Mode:Prepare for the knitting, preset kinds of control parameters and

select the patterns for knitting.

(2)Confirmation Mode (Pre-operation mode): Confirm the set control parameters

before knitting. Press F1 to have the head return to origin (Reset). Then the machine will

enter the mode for Pre-operation.

(3)Operational Mode (start-up mode): Pull the bar to start working.

2.8.2 Shift among Working Modes

(1)In the Ready Mode, if the pattern within the memory is selected and its

parameters are set, the system will enter the Pre-operation mode after user press the F1 to

let the head return to origin.

(2)In the Pre-operation mode, the user shall turn the bar orderly to start the knitting.

If the user turns the bar until the buzzer rings once, the system will enter the low speed

running mode, if the user turns the bar to the bottom, and the buzzer rings for three times,

the system will work at high speed.

Under the low speed running mode, if user orderly turns the bar to the last and the

buzzer rings for three times, the system will enter the high speed working mode.

Reverse the bar in the running mode, the machine will stop to wait for further order,

that is to say the system returns to the pre-operation mode.

In the interface of disk management, user can perform the following operations:
pattern transfer, deletion of the catalogue or files, initialization of disk, and creation of new
catalogue.

3.1 Selection of Disk

The entrance for disk management is “ ” in the main interface. Press

“ ” to have access to the following window:

The window of disk selection will list the available storage device in the existing system.
The number before the “U Disk” is the ID of it so that user can use the corresponding
number key to select it. Select the disk for operation and press Enter to have access to disk
management window.
Or by clicking the disk figure on the screen, user can also have access to the disk
management window.
Attention:If user pulls out or insert the U disk to the system, this interface will be
automatically renewed.
The disk management window is displayed as below:

In the window of the disk management, the system provides the list of the objects
under the existing catalogue, including pattern documents, parameter documents and
catalogue (the file folder). The pattern document (PAT+CNT or DAT+CON), whose figure

is , has no suffix name. If the pattern document contains the pattern parameters, the

figure will be . The suffix name of the working parameter documents is WRK, and the

figure of it is . The suffix of system parameter documents is SYS, and the figure of it is .

The figure of the catalogue (file folder) is .

User can press “ ” to select the desired item. The numbers 0~9 at the left side of
the list are the ID of these items so that users can press the corresponding number key to
select it quickly.
Or by clicking the file or catalogue on the screen, user can also realize the operation for
selecting item.
If the amount of the patterns in the existing catalogue or the amount of the catalogues
is over 10, user can use the keys like “Previous Page”, “Next Page” or Page Key to turn pages.

3.2 Pattern Input

Select one pattern file on the disk. Click function key “Confirm” or the “ ” or double
click pattern file via touching panel to activate the following windows:

At the window for inputting the pattern name, the system will use the file name in disk
as the default name of the pattern in memory. User can change the name with the number

keys or the system keyboard. Press function key “Confirm” or “ ” to save the new name

of the file and then the pattern begins to be input to the system. Press “Cancel” or “ ”
to cancel the input.

3.2.1 Pattern with the same name

If the input file has the name same to the existing pattern in the memory, the existing
pattern in the memory will be replaced by the newly input one.
If the replaced one is being knitted, the new input file will be deemed as the new
pattern for knitting. And the machine will enter the status of resetting.

3.2.2 Pattern parameter

Use pattern parameter in the DPM file if the DPM file exists, else use the default
parameter.
If the input file has the name same to the existing pattern in the memory, a dialog box
displays to ask user whether to use the parameters of the pattern with the same name.

Press “ ” to use the parameter of the pattern with the same name in the memory; Press

“ ” to use the parameter in DPM file, or the default pattern parameter.

3.3 Pattern Output


Click “Pattern Output” to have the system show the list of the patterns in memory.

Press“ ” to select the pattern for output, then press“ ” to have access to
the window for inputting pattern name.
Or user can directly click the pattern via the touching panel to enter the pattern name
input interface.
The system uses the name of pattern in memory as the default name when saving the
pattern in disk. And user is able to change the name with the number keys and system

keyboard. After the modification, the user shall press “Confirm ” or “ ” key to save the
newly input name, then the pattern begins to be outputted to the disk. At this time, user can

press “Cancel” or “ ”to cancel the output.

3.4 All Pattern Output


Click “All Output”. After the confirmation, the patterns within the memory will be
outputted into the current catalogue at U disk
Because this operation takes a long time, user needs perform this operation in the
empty catalogue so as to avoid the mistake.
Attention: when the machine is running, you can not carry out this function.

Click “All Output” to activate the dialogue window, where the system will ask you to

create a new catalogue. Pressing “ ” is to start the output, the output will take some

time. Pressing “ ” is to cancel the operations, such as output, creating new catalugue
and so on.

3.5 Parameter Input


Select WorkPara button or Other Param button in Disk Select Window, then select one
parameter file (working parameter or system parameter) in the disk, press function key

“Confirm” or “ ”, or double click parameter file on touching panel, then the following
interface will be activated:

Press “ ” to input the selected parameter to the machine. The original parameter

in the machine will be replaced. For cancelling the input, please press“ ”.

3.6 Operations of Catalogue

After selecting a catalogue, the user can press “Confirm” or “ ” to have access to it.
Or double click the catalogue on touching panel to have access to that catalogue
directly
Press function key “Previous Menu” to go to previous catalogue.
Press function key “Create Menu” to activate the following window:

The corresponding catalogue will be created in the disk as long as the user inputs the
file name and presses the “Confirm”

3.7 Delete Item in Disk
Select one item (including pattern file, parameter file and catalogue), press “Deletion”,
then the system will give a window for confirmation:

Press ” ” to delete the select file, press “ ” to cancel the deletion.


Note:If the user wants to delete the catalogue, the system will delete the entire files
and the sub-catalogues within it. If the file in the disk is read-only or the disk is

The pattern management includes the selection of the knitted pattern, setting and
changes on the patterns in memory.

The entrance for the pattern management window is the key “ ” at the main
interface. Press that key to have access to the following window:

Press function key “Cancel” or “ ” to return to main interface.


The window of pattern management lists the patterns and information existing in the

memory. By pressing “ ”, user is able to select the pattern. User can also press the
number keys (1~0) so as to realize the quick selection.
Or click the pattern on the touching panel to realize the selection.

If there are more than 10 patterns in the memory, please use page key.
When user opens this window, the icon will be located at the currently knitted pattern.

4.1 Selection of Pattern

Press “ ” key to move the icon to the patterns for knitting, or press the number
key to move the icon to those patterns.

Press function key “Pattern Selection” or “ ” to set the selected pattern as the
pattern for knitting.
User can also double click the pattern on the touching panel so as to set the pattern as
the pattern for knitting.
The setting operation will be forbidden if the width of the selected pattern is larger
than the total stitch number of the machine.
If the selected pattern exceeds the knitting range because of the values of knitting
parameters, start needle, extended pieces, a dialog box will display for resetting the

parameters of extend knitting: Press " " to reset these parameter and set the selected

pattern as the pattern for knitting. Press " " to cancel setting operation.

4.2 Pattern Parameter Management

4.2.1 Check Pattern Parameter

At the interface of pattern parameter, press key “Density” (or the Number key 1 at
main interface) to check the value of that parameter.
Press key “Main Roller” (or the Number key 2 at main interface) to check the value of

Press key “Supplementary Roller” (or the Number key 3 at main interface) to check the
value of that parameter.
Press key “Close Roller” (or the Number key 4 at main interface) to check the value of
that parameter.
Press key “Main Motor Speed” (or the Number key 5 at main interface) to check the
value of that parameter.
Press key “stop position of yarn feeder” (or the Number key 6 at main interface) to
check the stop position of yarn feeder and the value of the correction parameter. The yarn

feeder correction value is the adjustment value to “stop position of yarn feeder” when the
main motor is at different speed.
Press key “Right Yarn Feeding”, to check the value of that parameter.

4.2.2 Selection of Pattern Parameter

When entering the parameter interface of a certain type pattern, the system selects the
parameter at left upper corner as default.

Press the direction keys“ ” to select the parameter at each direction.


Notice: If the parameter at the most left is selected, and the user presses the “Left”
again, the parameter at the most right will be selected. So do the circumstances that the
selected parameter is at most right, upper or down.
Or click the check in the touching panel, so as to realize the function to select the
pattern parameter.

4.2.3 Modification of Parameter Value

Upon selection of a parameter value, if the user presses the number keys, the new
parameter value will be input directly to replace the original parameter value. The newly
inputted parameter is displayed in red.

After modifying a parameter value, user can press “ ” to select other


pattern parameters. The new parameter value will be saved automatically, and turned to
blue.

After the modification, user can press “ ” to save the new parameter value
automatically, which will turns to blue. Meanwhile, the entire parameter values at current
row will be changed to the newly input parameter values.
By clicking the cell-grid on the form, user can use the keyboard to change the pattern
parameter value.

4.3 Copy and Paste the Parameter
In the interface of Pattern Management, user can press the key “Copy Parameter” to
copy the parameters of the selected pattern. After the copy, the key will turns to “Paste
Parameter”. And user can perform the paste operation.

Press the direction keys “ ” (or the number hotkey) to move the icon to the
pattern that needs pasting parameter. At the paste, the copied parameters will replace the
original parameters of the selected pattern. After the paste operation, the button “Paste
Parameter” will turn to “Copy Parameter” again and user can continue the copy operation.
The parameters that can be copied include pattern parameters like density, main roller,
supplementary roller, close roller and so on, as well as, the extended yarn feeder parameters
(optional item). At paste operation, the system will ask user whether to paste the extended
yarn feeder parameters. If user sets “No”, only will the pattern parameters will be pasted.
The parameters Extension on Pieces and Starting Stitch will not be copied or pasted. For the
setting of the extended yarn feeder parameters, please refer to the section of knitting
parameter management.

4.4 Pattern Edition


In the main window of pattern management, user can press “Pattern Edition” to have
access to the window of Pattern Edition.

4.4.1 Selection of Pattern Value

After you enter the interface for the first time, the system will select the value at the
left upper corner as the default.
By pressing buttons such as “Roll Upwards”, “Roll Downwards”, “Roll Leftwards” and
“Roll Rightwards”, user can move the icon to the position needing changing. Pressing “To
Pointed Line” and “To Pointed Row” is able to locate the icon to the required position in a
short time.
“Rolling Range Set” is to set the moving range of screen at each pressing at the buttons
like “Roll Upwards”, “Roll Downwards”, “Roll Leftwards” and “Roll Rightwards”. Press
“Rolling Range Set” to shift among “1 line/row at each rolling”, “10 lines/rows at each
rolling” and “1 full line/row at each rolling”.

Press “ ” to move icon at present page. The selected value, which will be
modified, will be highlighted. User can also click the value on the touching panel to select it.

4.4.2 Edition of Pattern Value

Select the value wanted changing. Pressing “ ” is to activate the virtual keyboard.

Press button “ ” to select the value (0~F) with the icon; Press “ ” and
input the data where the icon locates. The modified value will be saved automatically.
Attention: If the modified pattern is the pattern being knitted at present, user will need

to press “ ” to reset the data of that knitted pattern after modification.

Move icon to “Conceal Keyboard”, then press “ ” to conceal the virtual keyboard.
User can take that operation by touching the screen.

4.4.3 Cancellation and Recreation of Pattern Edition

After modifying the pattern, the user can use cancellation to withdraw the previous
changing.
After cancelling the previous changing, the button for recreation is available. Choosing
“Recreation” can re-make the previous modification.

4.5 Edition Program Management


In the main window of pattern management, press “Edition Program” to have access to
the window for managing the edition program. The information of existing pattern will be
shown as below:

4.5.1 Select CNT Line

Press “Previous Line”, “Next Line” or Page Key to move CNT for one line forward to
backward; press “To Top Line” or “To Last Line” to move to the top line or the last line of
CNT directly; pressing “To Point Line” and then inputting the number of line will let icon
jump to the line required.

4.5.2 Select Parameter Value

In the above picture, the selected parameter is in a red frame. User can use

“ ” to select a parameter for changing. The “ ” is used to select the


entire parameters in the screen (By holding it, user can shift the parameter quickly.) while

“ ” is used to select the parameters in the same row.

Press to activate the window of “program parameter input”, thus to edit the
selected parameter.

Press to turn the red frame to yellow, thus to edit the selected parameters directly

4.5.3 Modify Parameter Value

The parameter value includes numbers or orders. This part introduces the detailed
modification method on some parameters. For other parameters, please refer to the below
methods. Each parameter can be changed in two ways: change it in window of “program
parameter input” or change it directly.
(1)Yarn feeder

Select yarn feeder, press to activate the window of“program parameter input”,
which is shown as below:

Press number key 1~8 to shift between the statuses of yarn feeder(selected or

non-selected) or move the icon on the virtual keyboard with . Press to


input the number where the icon locates.

Press or to save the modified parameters (at this time the frame will turn

to yellow from red). Or press to quit without saving (at this time the frame will turn to
yellow from red too).
(2)Color Code

Select the color code; press to activate the window “Program Parameter Input”,
which is shown as below:

Input color code with number key or the virtual key board (code range: 0~F).

Press to move the icon, press to input the number or the mark

covered by the icon (Double-pressing on is to input the letter beneath the number).

“Backspace” is to delete the last number input. “Delete All” is to delete the entire numbers
in the frame.

Method 2:

Select the color code and then press to turn the frame from red to yellow. Input
the color code 0~9 with the number keys. The number keys 1~6 are the double used keys.
Double pressings on these keys can input letter from A to F.

Press or to save the modified parameters (at this time the frame will turn

to yellow). Or press to quit without saving (at this time the frame will turn to yellow
too).
(3)Order at H Position
Modification on H position will allow user to modify the order at corresponding A
position.

Select “Order at H Position” then press to activate the window of “program


parameter input”. The interface is shown as below:

Select “Order at H Position” and then press to turn the frame from red to yellow.
Shift it with the Page key.

Press or to save the modified parameters (at this time the frame will turn

to yellow). Or press to quit without saving (at this time the frame will turn to yellow
too).

4.5.4 Set Saving

Please select the number of rows for jumping. Setting “Return” is to set the target row
number for jump while setting “Cycle” is to set the times for jumping. When knitting to the
certain row, the machine will jump to row set in “Return”. And the time for jumping is the
value set in “Cycle”.
For an example, if user sets CNT row at 200, “Return” at 30 and “Cycle” at 2, the
machine will jump to No.30 row for knitting when knitting to No.200 row, and this action will
repeat twice. When the machine knits to No.200 row for the third time, it will continue to
knit No.201 row instead of jumping.
Notice:
(1)Finish
With the Page Key, user can set the Finish Line. But if the existing line is the odd, the
modification will be denied.
(2)Rocking
Range: -8~+8. To Input the integer needle position, the user shall input whole number
0~8. Inputting “.” means to input the half needle position. The “+/-” controls the direction of
movement, among which the R is right while L is Left.

4.6 Pattern Deletion
Select the pattern for deletion in the main interface of pattern management, press the
“Delete Pattern” to activate the window for confirming the deletion.

4.7 Delete Entire Pattern


In the interface of pattern management, press the “Delete Entire Patterns” to activate
the window for confirming the deletion.

Press“ ” to delete the entire patterns. Press“ ” to cancel the deletion.

4.8 Pattern Arrangement


In the main interface of pattern management, press “Arrange by name” to have the
entire patterns displayed in order according to their names. At this moment, this button
appears as “Arrange by number”.
Press this button (“Arrange by number”) again to have the entire patterns displayed in
order according to their numbers. At this moment, this button appears as “Arrange by
name” again.
When activating the pattern management window at each time, the system will arrange
the patterns in order according to their number as a default setting.

The window of production control is the main interface.
The functional keys (F1~F10) on the operational panel shall be coordinated with the
LCD displayer at using. The user can press the corresponding functional key for operating a
function displayed on the LCD screen. The items on the LCD support the touching operation;
single clicking on each button will activate the corresponding functions.
Meanwhile, the statuses of some hotkeys on the panel are correspondingly displayed
on the main interface

5.1 Operation of Functional Keys

Press it to lock the corresponding row, press it again for unlocking.

Speed Mode Selection “ ”

Press it to enter the high speed mode, press it again to enter the low speed mode.

Single Piece Knitting“ ”

Press the corresponding function keys to enter the status of single piece knitting (the
machine will stop when finishing a single piece), press the key again to enter the continuous
knitting status.
In the main interface, the “Knitting Time” is the time for knitting the last piece and the
current piece. When the machine is reset, the knitting time of the current piece will be
cleared.

In this window, holding “ ” (for 3 seconds) will clear the previous piece time and
the previous piece knitting time in “Knitting Time”, as well as the “Finished Piece Number”.

Extended knitting “ ”
Click it to activate the window of knitting parameter management, where user can set
the knitting parameters of the current pattern.

“Density”, “Pulling Strength”, “Speed”, “Yarn-feeder Position”, “Sinker”, “Disk Management”,
“Pattern Management” and “Machine Setting”. Pressing the hotkeys in the main interface
will enter that parameter for checking and modification.

or press to let Main Roller rotate orderly.

“ ” is the Update button. Pressing this key at power-on will have the system to

Scope of object: the system will use the machine stitch number and the current pattern
to automatically calculate the extended pieces number and the range of extended start
stitch. The range of extended pieces number is 1~8, the min value of extended start stitch is
1, and the range of extended yarn-feeder parameter is 1~8.
Select the input frames of “Extended Pieces Number”, “Extended Start Stitch” and
“Extended Yarn-feeder”, press the number keys and input the value directly. If the value
input is over the range, the system will still display the original value.
Select input frame of “Piece Enable” and press page key to shift between the activation
and the deactivation.

Press“ ” or select other input frames to modify the knitting parameters.

In system parameters, the copy operation can be used on parameter as followed: Single Bed/
Double Bed Density 0 Posi. Adjustment, Un-worked Density 0 Posi. Adjustment, Rocking Posi.
Adjustment, Needle-transfer Rocking Posi. Adjustment, (+) Needle-transfer Rocking Posi.
Adjustment and (-) Needle-transfer Rocking Posi. Adjustment.

In the interface of Un-worked Density 0 Posi. Adjustment,, press “ ” to set all the
parameter values as the currently seelcted value. As shown in below, we select the parameter

“Density 3”. If we press “ ” at this moment, the values of entire parameters will be set as “+1”.

In the system parameter management interface, the icon is on “Single Bed/ Double Bed
Density 0 Posi. Adjustment” and the currently selected parameter is “Single Bed”. If user presses

“ ” at this moment, the entire single bed density parameters in this colunm will be set at “+1”.

When the icon is on the “Single Bed Density”, pressing “ ” will copy the values of No.1~8

parameters in single Bed density and paste these parameter values to the No.1~8 parameters in

double bed density; when the icon is on the “Double Bed Density”, pressing “ ” will copy the

values of No.1~8 parameters in double Bed density and paste these parameter values to the No.1~8
parameters in single bed density.

For the parameters relating to the rocking, pressing “ ” will copy the parameters in the
same group. Example: in the rocking position correction interface, the current selected value is

“R3”. If user presses “ ”, the “0”, “R1”—“R14”, “L1”—“L14”, “R0*”—“R14*” and “L0*”—
“L14*” will be set at the value as “R3”. In the needle-transfer rocking position correction interface,

pressing “ ” will set the “0”, “R1”—“R14” and “L1”—“L14” to the selected value.

7.1.3 Rocking Position Correction

The Needle Bed will rock to the right position after user enters the window of Setting Rocking
Position Correction, R1,etc.
Quit rocking position correction interface. When the system leaves to system parameter
window, the rocking device will move again and resume to the position before the entry to the
rocking position correction window. At that position, the machine can continue the work before the
rocking correction, like normal knitting.
The operations of Needle-transfer Bed Racking Posi Correction, (+)Needle-transfer Bed Racking
Posi. Correction, and (-)Needle-transfer Bed Racking Posi. Correction are similar to that of Racking
Position Correction.

7.1.5 Input/ Output of System Parameter

User can output the parameter from the system to the U disk for back-up, the suffix name of
output system parameter file is SYS. Meanwhile, user can also input the parameter from the U disk
to the system, thus to replace the existing parameters.
Operation for Output:
In the window of system parameter management, user can press number key “0” to activate
the interface for confirmation.

Press “ ” to output the parameters to the disk, or press “ ” to cancel the operation.
Notice:It is unable to perform this operation without the U disk.
Operation for Input:
In the disk management window, select the system parameter file (SYS), and then press

“ ” to input the parameter to the system (replace the existing parameters). Please refer to Disk
Management for details.
Notice:After inputting the parameters to system, the user needs to reset the system.

This interface includes the tests on the executive components on the head. The highlighted

part (with yellow frame) in the picture is the selected component. Use“ ” to select the

component for test. After the selection, press the number keys for test. The specific test method is
as below:
User can also click the components on the screen to select it. A virtual keyboard will displays
for test operation.

Press key “Cancel” or “ ” to return the interface of the previous level.

7.4.1 Stitch Motor Test

There are 5 testing positions for stitch motor. Press the number keys “12345” to test the
selected motor.
Press “+/-“ to have the entire stitch motors work together, press that key again to have entire
stitch motors return to 0.

7.4.2 Needle Selector Solenoid Test

Press the number keys“12345678”to release or withdraw the solenoids with the
corresponding number at the selected group. Press “9” to release the entire solenoids at the
selected group; press “0” to withdraw the entire solenoids at the selected group. Key “.” is for the
cyclic test. At cyclic test, pressing on any button can let the system quit the test.

7.4.3 Delta Solenoid Test

Press the number keys “123456” to release or withdraw the corresponding solenoids at the
selected front bed delta (or back bed delta). Press “9” to release the entire solenoids at the
selected delta; press “0” to withdraw the entire solenoids at the selected delta. “.” is for the cyclic
test. At cyclic test, pressing on any button can let the system quit the test.

7.4.4 Yarn Feeder Solenoid Test

Press the number keys “12345678” to release or withdraw the corresponding yarn feeder
solenoids at current system. Press “9” to release the entire solenoids at the selected delta; press
“0” to withdraw the entire solenoids at the selected delta. “.” is for the cyclic test. At cyclic test,
pressing on any button can let the system quit the test.

7.4.5 Sinker Motor Test

There are three testing positions of sinker motor. User can press “123” to test the selected
motor.

7.5 Input Test

In the interface of function test, press the “ ” to have access to the observation

window.

Parameters at the observation interface are unable to be set, but user can find out the existing
value or the existing status of some parameters at once.
After the user actuates the sensor on the machine, the corresponding signal will be displayed
as “On”.

7.6 Output Test


In the interface of function test, user is able to have access to the interface of parameter

output by pressing “ ”.
There are two kinds of output signal: one is data signal, the other is control signal.

7.6.1 Output Data Signal


The methods for outputting different data signals are similar to each other. We take the “Main
roller” as example in this part. For the methods for outputting other data parameters, please refer

Select “Main Roller” at output interface, then press to activate the window of “Selection
of Parameter Value”

Input the value via the virtual keyboard.


Press “Confirm” to modify the value of main roller, or press “Cancel” to cancel the sending.

7.6.2 Control Signal Output

The methods for outputting different control signals are similar to each other. In this part, we
take the “Red Indicator” as an example. For method of outputting other control signal parameter,
please refer to this method.

Select “Red Indicator” at the output interface, then press to activate the window of
“Selection of Parameter Value”:

If user presses “Turn on”, the red indicator will be on; if the user presses “Turn off”, the red
indicator will be off.
Press “Ok” to close this window.

mistake.
Press “Previous Page” and “Next Page” to select pages.

Press “Clear All” to activate the dialogue frame to ask user whether to clear all the mistakes.

Press “Quit” or “ ” to quit the Error Management window.

7.9 Servo Parameter


In the window of machine setting, click “ServoPara” to enter the ServoPara window. It is
similar with the SysPara Window and MachPara Window except that part of the param is read only.

After entering the window of other functions, user can press “ ” to move

icon to the “time management” and then press to have access to the time
management interface.
Or user can press the button “time management” on the screen to have access to that
window.
User can change time and date in the time management window.

The range for year is from 2008 to 2030.
Press “Select Year”.
Press “Increase” or “Decrease” to change the year displayed. User can also use the

“ ” or “ ” to change the year in a faster way.


User also can draw the year list on the screen and select the year from it.
(2)Modification on Month
Press “Select Month”.
Press “Increase” or “Decrease” to change the month displayed. User can also use the

“ ” or “ ”to change the month in a faster way.


User also can draw the month list on the screen and select the month from it.
(3)Modification on Day
Press “Select Day”.

“ ” to change the hour in a faster way.


User is able to input the hour directly with the number keys on the keyboard as well. If
the inputted hour is out off the range (from 0 to 23), the system will keep the original hour
unchanged. After the input of hour, the system will automatically move icon to Minute.
(5)Modification on Minute
Press “Select Minute”.

Press “Increase” or “Decrease” to change the minute displayed. User can use the “ ”

or “ ” to change the minute in a faster way.


User is able to input the minute directly with the number keys on the keyboard. If the
input minute is out off the range (from 0 to 60), the system will keep the original minute
unchanged. After the input of minute, the system will automatically move icon to Second.
(6)Modification on Second
Press “Select Minute”.

Press “Increase” or “Decrease” to change the second displayed. User can use the “ ”

or “ ” to change the second in a faster way.


User is able to input the second directly with the number keys on the keyboard. If the
input second is out off the range (from 0 to 60), the system will keep the original second
unchanged.

Press keys “Confirm” or “ ” to save the modified parameters, or press keys “Cancel”

or “ ”to quit without saving.

8.2 Clear Entire Patterns


Attention: This operation has the same effect as the operation for Delete Entire
Patterns in Pattern Management.
After entry to the window of Other Function, move the icon to “Clear Entire Patterns”

with “ ”. Press “ ” to activate the window for confirming the


operation of “Clear Entire Patterns”.
Or user can press “Clear Entire Patterns” on the screen to activate the window.
Press “Confirm” to clear the entire patterns in memory; or press “Cancel” to cancel the
operation.

8.3 System Version


After entry to the interface of Other Function, the user can move the icon to the System

Version with “ ”.

Press button “ ” to check the versions of middle machine and down machine. After
the checking, the version of each part will be displayed.
Or user can press “System Version” on the screen to activate the window for showing
the version of each part.

8.4 Periodical Payment

After entry to the interface of Other Function, the user can move the icon to the

Payment with “ ”. Press “ ” to activate the Payment window.


Or user can press “Payment” on the screen to activate the Payment window.
Attention: this window is used for manufacturer to set the payment parameter. The
machine may cannot be used if the input is incorrect.
If the periodical payment is set, the system will give the hint at each power-on in the
last two weeks before the periodical password would be activated.
Unlock Machine at Payment Day
If an installment date is mature, the following window can be seen when you turn on
the machine:

Please contact the manufacturer to get the password. Input the password and press

“ ”. The machine will work normally if your password is right.

8.5 Help

After entry to the interface of Other Functions, move the icon to “Help” with

“ ”.Press “ ” to have access to Help window.

Click the cross, then the cross will move to another position. Press it again until the all
the correction points are tested. After that the window will turn off automatically, and the
correction is finished.

8.7 Language Change

After entry to the interface of Other Function, the user can move the icon to the

Language Change with “ ”. Press “ ” to change the language into English,


and press it again to change the language into Chinese.
Or user can press “Language Change” on the screen to change language.
