I stood at the edge of the boiling lake, I watched as the bubbles and boils pop up into

the air and disappear into thin air. I felt a headache occur to my head as I tried to guess
where I was. I felt as if I was going to get sick, the sounds of demonic seagulls and
boiling hot sea water. It truly was as sick as I had imagined. A horrific smell lingered
across the entire island, a smell of rotten fish, dried bones and sea water. That alone
was almost enough to make me faint. I’m not sure how I managed to stay conscious
with everything that was happening.

My main motive at that point was to get back home in one piece. There was little to no
supplies that could be used for escaping this horrific island. Assuming there would be at
least something on the island, I walked around and found a small tree with enough
wood for making a boat. My attempts in crafting a boat was quite pathetic, but
nonetheless it would just have to do.

I dragged the boat over to the rim of the sand, touching the water as little as possible. I
hung onto the boat with all my body weight and flung onto the boat. I was nearly close
to leaving that horrid nightmare-island, when all of a sudden I felt the boat sink. Burns
apperated onto my body with a scorching hot temperature. I screamed and yelled, even
though no one could hear me. I jumped out the water and watched all my hope for
leaving the island sink alongside with my boat.

I plucked off some leeches that were aggressively latching onto my body. I felt like I
was going to go mad. I was enraged, how could i have been so idiotic? Of course the
boat would sink, it was made of wood! I was so upset that I hadn't heard the rumble
from my stomach. Then, I heard it again, more demanding this time. I took notice of this
and went looking for some food on the island. The island was small and empty, I
wandered around the dry sandy area in search of something to feed off of.

I felt as hungry as a tiger in an ocean, the crippling realisation that I might just starve to
death. It started to get dark and the sun began to set. It was beautiful but I knew that
would be my last glimpse of light. I stopped trying to find anything to eat instead just
waiting for the hunger to absorb me and make me perish into nothingness.

I heard a roar in the distance, a sudden strike of fear hit my body. I couldn’t fathom how
tremendously terrifying that sound was. I shivered and shook and hoped it was all a
dream. Then, it grew louder...i shut my eyes… and louder…i looked away. I felt a hot
steamy breath ghost over my neck and a dribble of saliva, spat onto my neck…
