How To Do A Descriptive Essay

Writing an essay on the topic of "How To Do A Descriptive Essay" can be a challenging task that
requires a combination of creativity, attention to detail, and effective communication skills.
Descriptive essays are meant to paint a vivid picture with words, making the reader feel as though
they are experiencing the subject firsthand. This requires not only a strong command of language but
also the ability to choose the right words and phrases to convey sensory details and emotions.

One of the difficulties lies in striking the right balance between providing enough description to
create a vivid image without overwhelming the reader with unnecessary details. It's crucial to
carefully select the most relevant and impactful details that contribute to the overall theme and
purpose of the essay. Additionally, organizing these details in a coherent and logical manner is
essential to ensure that the reader can follow the narrative smoothly.

Another challenge is avoiding clichés and generic descriptions. Descriptive essays should aim to
offer a fresh perspective and unique insights into the chosen subject. This requires a certain level of
creativity and originality, pushing the writer to think beyond common adjectives and delve into more
specific, evocative language.

Furthermore, maintaining a consistent tone throughout the essay is important. Whether adopting a
formal or informal style, the writer must ensure that the tone aligns with the intended message and
the target audience. Straying from the chosen tone can disrupt the flow of the essay and impact its
overall effectiveness.

In conclusion, crafting a descriptive essay involves navigating through a variety of challenges,

including selecting the right details, avoiding clichés, maintaining a consistent tone, and organizing
the narrative effectively. However, with practice and a keen understanding of the principles behind
descriptive writing, one can develop the skills necessary to create compelling and engaging essays on
this topic.

Acrisius Of Argos
King Acrisius of Argos1 had only one child, a daughter, Danaë. She was beautiful
above all the other women of the land, but this was small comfort to the King for not
having a son. He journeyed to Delphi2 to ask the god if there was any hope that some
day he would be the father of a boy. The priestess told him no, and added what was far
worse: that his daughter would have a son who would kill him.
The only sure way to escape that fate was for the King to have Danaë instantly put to
death taking no chances, but seeing to it himself. This
Acrisius would not do. His fatherly affection was not strong, as events proved, but his
fear of the gods was. They visited with terrible punishment those who shed the blood of
kindred. Acrisius did not dare slay ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Here he shut her up and guarded her. 3
So Danaë endured, the beautiful,
To change the glad daylight for brass bound walls,
And in that chamber secret as a grave
She lived a prisoner. Yet to her came
Zeus in the golden rain.
As she sat there through the long days and hours with nothing to do, nothing to see
except the clouds moving by overhead, a mysterious thing happened, a shower of gold
fell from the sky and filled her chamber. How it was revealed to her that it was Zeus
who had visited her in this shape we are not told, but she knew that the child she bore
was his son.
For a time she kept his birth secret from her father, but it became increasingly difficult
to do so in the narrow limits of that bronze house and finally one day the little boy his
name was Perseus was discovered by his grandfather. Your child! Acrisius cried in great
anger. Who is his father?
But when Danaë answered proudly, Zeus, he would not believe her. One thing only he
was sure of, that the boy s life was a terrible danger to his own.
He was afraid to kill him for the same reason that had kept him from killing her, fear of
Zeus and the Furies4 who pursue such murderers. But if he
Investigation of the Thermal Decomposition of Copper...
Investigation of the Thermal Decomposition of Copper Carbonate

Aim:

Copper has two oxides, Cu2O, and CuO. Copper carbonate, CuCO3 decomposes on
heating to form one of these oxides and an equation can be written for each possible
reaction

Equation 1: 2CuCO3 (s) Cu2O (s) + 2CO2 (g) + O2 (g)

Equation 2: CuCO3 (s) CuO (s) + CO2 (g)

The aim of this experiment is to prove which equation is correct. This can be done by
volumetric analysis i.e. calculating the volume of gas produced. This is then compared to
the calculated volume of gas produced in each equation and the equation with the nearest
volume of gas is correct.

This is a thermal decomposition reaction and when an element like copper can form two
oxides, which one forms is based ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is also not sufficient to simply consider the stability of a compound with respect to its
elements. It is necessary to consider the stability of copper
(I) oxide with respect to copper (II) oxide, as well as with respect to copper and oxygen.

It would also be important to consider the stability of CuCO3 with respect to both
oxides, to see which reaction is energetically most likely. So it is clear that the value of
Î Hf suggests that Cu2O will be formed, but that this will not necessarily be the case
because of the other factors involved.

Copper (II) compounds are by far the most common they are called
cupric . Copper (I) compounds cuprous compounds are far less common. Copper atoms
most readily go to oxidation state +2, by a variety of reactions. Cupric compounds are
unstable in the presence of water, so must either be insoluble or form complexes with
other molecules. The equations are written in moles and through my background
knowledge
I now know the definition of a mole, 1mole of any substance contains the same number
of particles as 12g of carbon 12. 1 mole of any element contains 6.01 x 1023 atoms. 1
mole of a molecular compound contains 6.01 x 1023 molecules.

This means that in a reaction in which 2 molecules of one substance react with 1
molecule of another for instance the formation of water: 2H2 + O2 2H2O, 2 moles of
hydrogen molecules will react with
1 mole of oxygen molecules to give 2 moles of water molecules. For an element, the mass

Health is not only your physical health, but it s also about your mind and decision of
how handle things. As I get older, I could feel my body getting weak. I realized that I
must change my life style and start exercising every day to maintain my health from
further worsening. Through this Behavior Change Project in Health, I decided to get
back in shape and regain my health by slightly changing my daily routine.
According to one site, ethical egoism is the view that each of us ought to pursue our own
self interest, and no one has any obligation to promote anyone else s interests
(Psychological Egoism, 2009). People generally are the best judges at identifying what
their needs and interests are, and they are much more motivated to work hard to benefit
themselves than to achieve any other goal when they are doing that they really need in
life (Psychological Egoism, 2009). From the egoism ethical viewpoint, my behavior
change will be make me healthier not only physically, but also mentally and
emotionally. Overall, I will have improved a healthier lifestyle. The reason why I
wanted to change this behavior was to become healthier and also to help improve my
self image.
In the article Goal setting for health behavior change , the author insists that specific
intervention strategies and the processes by which they lead to health related behavior
changes (Ries and Blackman etc. 2014). So, I
Significance Of The Lincoln Electric Company
In the Harvard case study from 1985, Arthur Sharplin gives us a great overview about
the history and governance of the Lincoln Electric Company. The company was
founded by John C. Lincoln at the beginning of the 20th century and he was later
joined by his brother James F. Lincoln (Sharplin, 1985, p. 1). We can already see that
John C. Lincoln had a strong desire for his company to succeed because he continually
looked at how he could improve the company. This is shown in his opinion that worker
input is important (Sharplin, 1985, p. 2). In the book, Principles of Management,
Carpenter, Taylor, Erdogan (2009, p. 187 189), introduce us to a variety of profiles of
Organizational cultures. The first impression from reading the early history of the
company from the Harvard Study could be that the Lincoln ElectricCompany is an
aggressive company, however, a person would err in their conclusion. The Company
actually is outcome oriented. What does that mean? It means that a company, in this case
the Lincoln Electric Company, has a culture that is geared towards accomplishing goals
(Carpenter, Taylor, Erdogan, 2009. p. 188), this is due to the people that first ran the
company John and James Lincoln.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One of the first incentives to work for the company where reduced work hours and
health benefits (Sharplin, 1985, p. 2). This was then followed by a system that would
allow workers to get a bonus based on the rate of completion, and then a pension plan
that was introduced towards the end of the second World War (Sharplin, 1985, p. 2).
This brings to light that the company was interested in hearing from their workers as
some of these incentives came to be due to the feedback from the workers (Sharplin,
1985, p. 2). Each employee was evaluated on a regular basis and there was a clear and
easy to understand system in place that each worker could follow (Sharplin, 1985, p.
A Brief Article On Heat Illness
Heat Illness Reflection/Connection to ATR
In this article I have learned many different helpful things. The article states many
different heat illnesses, and how to handle them. Some of these damages can be lethal,
and lead to death or some cases permanent damage. The article states information given
by NATA which is the National Athletic Trainers Association. The purpose is to provide
enough information for best practices for heat illness. So in the article, it states
information about the following: heat syncope, external heat injury, external heat stroke,
heat exhaustion, and exercise associated muscle cramp. So to start off heat syncope
occurs when a person is standing in heat for ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The AT would be responsible because they allowed the athletes to be active in the
conditions they were in. An AT may use a heat index, which is a tool that calculates
the air pressure in the air and calculate the humidity in the air. This tool is helpful for
the AT, so they can get accurate calculations, and decide if it s ok for athletes to be
active outside. Now AT s also are responsible of the well being of athletes when it
comes to their daily activity list. If an athlete is super active in one day, and is being
repeatedly exposed to heat, that could result in some heat illnesses depending on the
athletes well being. As an example an athlete is being exposed to the heat four times a
day, and has lost a lot of water. That could cause some heat illnesses, that could have
been prevented if the AT were to have recognized the amount of heat the athlete has
been exposed to. There will be a time when an athlete s core temperature exceeds its
max. That is when the AT must take serious action, and they must be able to handle the
situation correctly. If an athlete s core temp reaches over 98 degrees then that is a
problem. The organs in the system will start to shut off, and result could lead to death.
Also the information in this article connects to the basic assignments of a regular AT.
For instance the characteristics of some heat illness, so when the time comes the AT
know exactly what to look for. An example would be to know what to look for if an
