KNITTING
This simple triangle is worked in garter-stitch throughout.
Materials – Any DK acrylic yarn that will knit to tension given below in one shade or a selection of
shades; 4 mm knitting needles; large-eyed sewing needle.
Note: Please use acrylic DK, not cotton or wool yarns as these will get heavy in the rain and may
cause the display to droop!
Abbreviations – K – knit; psso – pass slipped st over; rem – remain; sts - stitches; tbl – through
back of loop; tog – together.
Tension – 22 sts and 28/30 rows to 10 cm measured over stocking-stitch (knit one row, purl one
row).
TO MAKE
Note: If you are working in stripes, change yarn every 8 rows, breaking off yarn when stripe is
complete.
With 4 mm needles cast on 31 sts.
1st & 2nd rows – Knit.
3rd row – K1, K2tog tbl, knit unitl 3 sts rem, K2tog, K1.
4th row – Knit.
Rep the last 4 rows 12 times more – 5 sts.
Next row – Knit.
Next row – K1, sl 1, K2tog, psso, K1 – 3 sts.
Next row – Knit.
Next row – Sl 1, K2tog, psso.
Fasten off and sew in all ends.
