Part  I  –  Multiple  Choice  
Multiple  choice  section  will  be  taken  using  Socrative.com.    You  MUST  bring  a  charged  iPad.    
This  test  is  heavy  on  multiple  choice.    What  are  the  questions  testing?

What  will  the  questions  look  like?    Many  of  the  questions  are  in  the  form  of  a  statement  
followed  by  a  question  asking  if  it  is  logical  or  illogical.    These  statements  involve  daily  routine  
reflexive  verbs.    For  example:  
 
Es  lógico  vestirse  después  de  acostarse.    ¿Lógico  o  no?      
 
Is  it  logical  to  get  dressed  after  going  to  lie  down  to  go  to  bed?  No!    You  need  to  know  all  your  
reflexive  verbs  as  well  as  después  and  antes.

This  form  comes  AFTER  the  noun  and  is  used  to  emphasize  possession.  
Voy  al  baile  con  un  amigo  mío.  (I’m  going  to  the  dance  with  a  friend  of  mine.)  
Sometimes  the  possessive  adjective  can  replace  the  noun  you  are  referring  to.  
¿Esta  mochila  es  tuya?  (Is  this  backpack  yours?)  
The  possessive  adjectives  agree  in  gender  and  number  with  the  noun  they  describe.  
       Is  that  your  gel?                                        Yes,  it’s  mine.  
                             ¿Es  tu  gel?                                Sí,  es  mío.

Part  II  –  Writing  
Answer  questions  about  your  daily  routine.      For  example,    
¿Qué  haces  después  de  cepillarte  los  dientes?  
Remember  to  answer  in  the  “yo”  form.    Change  all  your  reflexive  pronouns  from  “te”  to  me  
when  you  answer.  
Después  de  cepillarme  los  dientes  me  visto.    
Remember,  your  verb  immediately  following  “antes  de”  or  “después  de”  MUST  be  in  the  
infinitive  w/  correct  reflexive  pronoun  attached.  
 
Essay  question:  
Write  at  least  5  sentences  describing  what  you  do  to  get  ready  for  a  special  event.  
 
 
Part  III–  Speaking  
We  will  conduct  this  test  over  the  course  of  multiple  days  testing  a  few  students  per  day.  
1. You  will  pick  a  card  out  of  a  stack.    The  card  will  have  6  reflexive  verbs  AND  a  subject  
(yo,  tú,  él/ella/Ud,  nosotros,  -­‐as,  ellos/ellas/Uds.)  For  example:

3. You  will  need  to  tell  about  that  person’s  daily  routine  using  those  six  verbs  and  
conjugating  according  to  the  subject.    Use  connectors  like  next,  later,  after,  etc.    
 
FOR  EXAMPLE:  If  the  subject  were  nosotros    and  6  verbs  were    
• despertarse,  
•  bañarse,  vestirse,    
• cepillarse  los  dientes,  
•  ponerse  la  chaqueta,    
• cepillarse  el  pelo,  you  would  say:  
 
“Primero,  nos  despertamos.    Después,  nos  bañamos.    Luego,  nos  vestimos.  Proximamente,    
nos  cepillamos  los  dientes.    Finalmente,  nos  ponemos  la  chaqueta,  y  nos  cepillamos  el  
pelo.”
