1. Compose an initial post in the discussion.

o Introduce yourself to the class, and brainstorm some ideas about what you
think you'll learn from this class in a few short paragraphs. Consider the
following questions as you do so:
 What's something unique about you or something you
particularly like about yourself? Where are you from? How
many people are in your family?
 The main focus of this class is writing. What do you think
"good" writing is? How do you currently see yourself as a
writer? What do you hope to learn from this class?
o Include a picture or video of yourself if possible.
2. Submit your completed initial post by the due date.
3. Respond to the initial post of a classmate.
o Try to find classmates with whom you have something in common.
o In your response, explain a connection you have (perhaps you have lived
in the same area, served in the same mission, share common hobbies, have
similar goals or concerns about learning to write, etc.) or you might have a
question about something they said (for example, "Where is
?" "How did you learn to ?").
o Try to find posts with fewer responses and respond to those.
o Respond to at least one classmate by the end of the week

Hello Everyone,
My name is Evelin Flores. I am from Perú. I served one mission. I served in Brazil – Piracicaba.
It was an amazing opportunity for me. I live with my mom and my brother.
Something that I really like is to learn new languages. Currently I am studying Mandarin
Chinese.
Since my point of view I think that “good writing” is an ability consisting in transmit trough
letters a feeling, one story or wathever in one clever an easy way. The good writing contains
consistency and coherence.

Many years ago, I had a Blog where I shared stories. I left it because it required time. In the
future I would like to continue with writing, maybe opening another Blog.
I hope to learn from everyone, maybe a bout your culture, your language and the love for the
Gospel. I hope to help you if you need it!!
Regards,
Evelin

. Feel free to call me Jeni or Sister Niu. I usually call you by your first name, so I feel that you
have the same rights. However, if you prefer brother or sister, let me know. Please take some
time to read my Welcome announcement as that is where you will find out more about me.
I am looking forward to getting to know you better through this discussion board. There are also
a few things that I would like to know about you which sometimes get forgotten. Please let me
know the following:

 Where are you from?

 If you served a mission, where did you serve?
 If you have children, how many and what are their genders and names?
 What name do you prefer that I use?
I look forward to your introductions!
