 Introduction
This book contains summary, insights
and personal experience of the author, some
baskers, and applicants for the 16 chapters of
BUTTERFLI.
The main focus of this book is to
showcase the beauty of each chapters, being
solved, answered and won by the applicants
from different species.
The other focus of the book is to see the
lesson and development of the author and
some of the applicants who gave their
permission to be interviewed.
Furthermore, the author doesn't claim
any materials and references he used for the
book. Credits to the rightful owners for their
work.

This book is dedicated to Dean, and to

my beloved Nymphal.

THE GOLDEN BUTTERFLY

 CHAPTER I

The Messy Pop-up Store

As the over 80 applicants entered the
BUTTERFLI platform, the first chapter started to
roll as they go to a messy pop-up store to
investigate. After a long run, they were able to find
out that the suspect, was on the verge of anger as
she knew Jack, her husband was cheating on her
and their child died.
Zhyxianne, the best player of the chapter,
could share her sentimental thoughts about the
activity.
"I truly didn't believe I would get the high score
since it was so challenging and I couldn't finish in
time.", she said.
"Case deduction and riddles are not my
strongest skills, but they have been really
beneficial to me in this chapter, especially the
items I found in the messy pop-up store," she
added.
I remembered that this gave me a lot of
struggle, as I am really weak about the
investigation, but I was able to pull it off and
prepared for the next round.

 CHAPTER II

First Fly to Kite

This chapter was about the specie's
coordination. This activity measured the four
species' might, wit, and luck. Each species has four
representatives, battling out for the golden tile.
It was a very tight match, as Hesperi, Lycaen,
and Nymphal were tied with five tiles and they only
need one correct answer to win the chapter.
But at all risk, Aycy, was able to rule the activity
with her answer, "Ruler", giving Nymphal their first
group activity.
Aycy and Ryker led the group by having three
points each. Azazel and yours truly was also part of
the lineup.
"It will be not possible if it weren’t for the
members," Ryker said.
"It was a huge responsibility for me to represent
our species, but knowing that all of the members
are there to back us up, gave me relief and strength
to push through," he added.
I did my best to contribute for the team, but
boosting everyone's morale is already a
contribution, I guess?

 CHAPTER III

Build a Kite for Treasure

For this chapter, their social skill was
tested as they are partnered with
different specie. The objective is to find
the kite or pearls and to avoid the
bombs.
The tandem of Hytto and Kade took
the lead for this chapter by finishing the
task at the earliest time.
Indeed, this will took your time a lot
as you will think carefully on what to
choose. Thanks to my partner, Cyania
who helped me as I was busy that time.
We were the buzzer beater as we
guessed it before the deadline.
 CHAPTER IV

Paper Plane Passengers

For this chapter, this was the first
cutoff of the event as the 80 students
will be now down to 57.
Rewritty from Nymphal took the
first seed followed by Klare of Lycaen.
On the other hand, I ranked 37th,
and it was a good spot for me to stay.
And all of the Nymphalians were able to
be at Top 57 as Max survived the
challenge to claim her spot.
 CHAPTER V

Propeller Plus Enigma

This activity challenged again the
coordination of the group as this activity
was made in a chess-like setup. The
group must go to the golden tile in
order for them to have a queen tile.
In this challenge, Eiren and Zlich
showed their skills on being the wittiest
player of the game as they led Hesperi
to win the game.
Nymphal, on the other hand
ranked fourth, followed by Papilion at
third, and Lycaen at second.
This group activity was the start of
changing something when it comes to
group activities.
 CHAPTER VI

Volun-tears
It was the test for everyone's
decryption ability and basic
understanding as they were given a task
to look for the culprit.
After answering all the cryptic
codes, rebus and logics, the applicants
were able to find Brooke Feldman
smiling behind the bars.
For the second time around, Zlich
from Hesperi take the charge for the
activity he finished the case in the
earliest time.
This time, I was able to answer
the activity as well and having 41/46 is a
great motivation for me to move on.
 CHAPTER VII

Come Back Home with a

Boomerang
This chapter was about working as
a group, but with different species. Dean
has given the eight leaders to facilitate
their members. The members were
chosen by reacting to their names.
After the drawing duels, detective
barters and debate, Group G headed by
Nymphalian Aycy prevails. Akihiro from
Hesperi became one of the highlights
for the chapter as he showcased his
impressive skills on debate.
Meanwhile, Skylee, and the rest of
the Group C faced the challenge in order
to survive. Unfortunately, Reuben and
Zxyves had to leave the competition.
 CHAPTER VIII-A

Booming Beam
This chapter was the second and
partial elimination. The 57 students will
be down to 40. The rank 41-57 have to
undergo a challenge against the
challengers who want to steal their
place.
At this point, Klare manages to go
for the first spot followed by Kade.
Meanwhile, Mendelssohn manages to
claim the last spot.
I was called 39th, and my rank
dropped by two. It was alarming, and all
I know was I have to regain my spot
higher.
 CHAPTER VIII-B

A Graden U-Turn
This chapter was the time for
challengers to showcase what they have
just to gain a spot in the competition.
Answering cases, having debates,
and showcasing their literary skills has
been the highlight of this chapter. The
Top 3 applicants, Klare, Kade and Aycy
were able to judge the challengers'
work.
Indeed, everyone has what it
takes to be part of the BUTTERFLI
journey.
 CHAPTER VIII-C

More Carried Back

This was the moment for the
challengers that they were waiting for. It
was the announcement of challengers
who made it to the Top 67.
After all of the evaluation, Wisdom
grabs the 42nd spot from Eiji, who
placed 55th. Solsaels on the other hand
was able to enter the final cut, finishing
at 67th.
After the announcement, Dean
balanced out the number of applicants
species with the quantity of 17 students
for Hesperi, Lycaen and Nymphal, and
16 students for Papilion.
 CHAPTER IX

Drive the Drone to Death

The chapter was about a specie
group, divided into two and solved
riddles, and analyze images to earn
clues. A picture containing different
places in Japan, was sent to dean with
the drone placed in the pic.
The winning will earn ten points,
while the losing team will be deducted
by 10 points in the overall score.
Takewon and Miraia were hailed
as the star players while Lycaen-1 was
the quickest team to solve the case.
 CHAPTER X

Bombing Bolt21
Locating the terrorists to save the
people of the United States of America!
This was the highlight of the chapter, by
dropping the drone bomb at the
location of Bolt21.
After all of the deductions that
applicants gained, they were able to
locate the terrorists that are hiding in
the boat located in the Gulf of Mexico.
The former challenger, Wisdom
finished the case most quickly in a time
of 19 minutes and 40 seconds, with no
deduction.
This chapter was also my biggest
burden as I finished it with a -30
deduction.
 CHAPTER XI

Launching Cata-faults
It is about luck, and your alertness as the
applicants faced a duo activity, in which they
were about to guess the answer for each set of
pictures.
Some of the team were almost to the finish
line, but with just one wrong step, everything is
back to start.
After the long run, the team of Solsaels and
Eiji were able to claim the golden row as Eiji
managed to answer the last set of pictures.
I was able to talk with Solsaels, and they
were in shock about what happened. "Noong una
kasi akala namin hindi kami mananalo since
noong sa Day 1 ng game ay wala pa kaming score
pero hindi namin in-expect na makakabawi kami",
he said.
For this chapter, me and my duo, Reuben
were able to catch up, finishing in 2nd row.
During the game, there were a little bit of
tension as a joke became a big issue, but thanks
to Dean who just handled the situation at ease.
 CHAPTER XII

Ejection Seat
For this chapter, Dean gave a
sneak peek of the applicants' rank per
species. This rank is partial, and it could
be changed after after some chapters.
Kade, Aycy, Klare and Lexa were
the frontrunners for each species.
I was ranked 12th, but at least I
didn't expect a lot about it.
After the announcement, Dean
gave some preview for the next chapter.
 CHAPTER XIII

Frisbee with You

Frisbee With You has been the
most remarkable chapter for
everyone. The center point of this is to
find the ones who disappoint the lot,
to find ones lacking, and to identify
their weaknesses.
Most of the enrollees were
anxious and some of them were
excited to see the reasons that
interlinked as to why they voted that
certain enrollee as undeserving. And
some of them... were kind of
emotional as they found out the
reason why.
After the process of the survey,
everything falls into their respective
places again.
 CHAPTER XIV

There is something
frishy...
Four group members agreed to take on the
challenge of either defending their client or placing
the blame on Dr. Niara.
In Manila line, there was a train mishap! Dr.
Niara is the prime suspect in the case where Dr.
Corey and his fellow doctor died from poisoning.
Dr. Corey, the victim, was silenced for extorting
medical professionals with false allegations of
carelessness.
Lycaen vs. Papilion Law Firm and Nymphal vs.
Hesperi Law Firm will be on the court's docket.
where Dr. Niara, a client of Hesperi and Papilion, will
be defended. While Dr. Niara is presented as the
murderer by Nymphal and Lycaen.
During the huddle, a tension rised up between
Riley and Aycy as they were in contradicting side of
the story. But in the end, they managed to talk
things over and move on for the next event.
I guess, group activities are the weakest
assets of Nymphal, isn't it?
 CHAPTER XV

Dropping some Confetti

This was not the chapter to be
celebrated of. Thus, a chapter that
focuses on crowd support.
The applicants were given a chance
to prove themselves to the crowd that
they are deserving to be on BSID. With
the given frame and forms, applicants
showed their efforts on gaining votes.
As the forms closed, Dean
announced that Kade from Hesperi
garnered the highest number of votes,
with a total of 315 votes, followed by
Travius and Aoki.
It was also emphasized that this
chapter could be the life-changing
moment for the applicants.
 CHAPTER XVI

Balloons for Baskerville

Butterflies
This was the most awaited of everyone,
the final announcement. After all the
hardships and effort that they have made, it
comes to an end.
This final announcement have a lot of
twists, as many of them rised up a lot, and
some of the applicants dropped out from
the safe zone.
Klare, were able to protect her throne
as she is the Top 1 applicant of the
BUTTERFLI, followed by Kade and Travius.
On the other hand, Radon was able to
snatch the last spot, completing the Hesperi
lineup.
I have nothing to say but I know that
everyone deserves it! And I am happy
especially for my Nymphalians who made it.
 SPECIAL CHAPTER

The Pop-up Store-y

If there is one thing that I am sure
about, it is having good friends inside the
BUTTERFLI.
Throughout my journey as an
applicant, I felt the nostalgia and the
excitement to be back in BSID. I fell short,
but it exceeded my expectations.
And after all of those hardships, I am
blessed, as I will not leave with a broken
heart, but with a genuine and contented
feeling as I met my friends who saw the real
me, and they showed me how true they are
despite of the bad impressions that I have
towards them.
I am sure, they will excel in BSID as
great as who they were in BUTTERFLI. And if
I would be given a chance to be in the BSID
again, I will never regret on choosing them
again.
