Stabilities COLORCONTIN VGP is stable to caustic soda 38 °Bé up to 120 ml/l.

The product remains stable for 6 hours if applied with up to 100 g/l
Glauber salt. COLORCONTIN VGP is stable to acids up to pH 3.0.
Stable stock solutions of up to 100 g/l of product can be produced.

We recommend to apply a suitable sequestering agent depending on

degree of hardness and dyeing procedure. MEROPAN DPE is well
suitable for this purpose.

The product is sensitive to frost to a certain extent; modifications

occurring at low temperatures disappear when the product is warmed
up and after it has been stirred thoroughly.

The above given values are product describing data. Please consult the 'delivery specification' for binding product
specifications. Further data about product properties, toxicological, ecological data as well as data relevant to safety can be
found in the safety data sheet.

Properties

COLORCONTIN VGP is a deaerating and wetting agent for the dyeing with direct, reactive, vat, sulphur and
dispersion dyes. The product is excellently compatible with the mentioned dye classes and can be applied
without influence on the fixing behaviour in all continuous and semi-continuous dyeing processes usually applied
in practice.

COLORCONTIN VGP has very good properties for the dyeing of cable and warp yarn, e.g. indigo and sulphur
dyeing. It has a very good stability throughout long-term applications as usually done in indigo dyeing. Extreme
accumulation of hardness in these baths hardly reduce the deaerating and wetting properties of COLORCONTIN
VGP. Furthermore, the wetting effect of COLORCONTIN VGP is not reduced in hot liquor, e.g. in sulphur
dyeings, that means the product is consistently stable. Apart from this the product is more or less odourless in
hot or alkaline liquors.

COLORCONTIN VGP contributes to an excellent penetration of the fabric in all dye padding liquors and fixation
liquors containing electrolytes usually applied in practice. COLORCONTIN VGP supports a long-term defoaming
effect.
In vat dyeing the product reduces the phenomena of skin and streak formation.
An excellent wetting behaviour effectively supports a regular penetration of the dyeing, and it actively promotes a
better reproducibility. The application of COLORCONTIN VGP reduces the risk of problematic dyeing differences
from edge – middle – edge of bigger production batches and critical material structures.

COLORCONTIN VGP does not show any retarding effects on reactive, vat or direct dyes. In addition, it does not
show any reducing effect on the dye solubility.

COLORCONTIN VGP can be combined with anionic and non ionic wetting agents and detergents, e.g. in
pretreatment without any restrictions and in all concentrations. The chemical structure allows working in strongly
alkaline or acid pH ranges and facilitates e.g. the application in cold bleach, fixing alkali liquors or development
liquors.

Due to its anionic character COLORCONTIN VGP can be completely washed off, and it does not have any
negative influence on subsequent finishing processes like fluorocarbon finishes.

As the material is well and regularly penetrated by the liquor COLORCONTIN VGP helps obtain levelled surfaces
of the materials and more levelled colour yields.

Application technique
Diluting instructions

COLORCONTIN VGP can be diluted with cold water in every ratio.

Application fields

COLORCONTIN VGP is used for continuous dyeing with reactive, vat, substantive, sulphur and disperse
dyestuffs. COLORCONTIN VGP can also be applied in long liquor ratio with cross-wound bobbins, yarn
packages and for jigger dyeings.

Application amounts

The necessary application amount depends on the substrate and the fabric speed when dyeing continuously.
