Position Title: DWCE Trainer


Location: Kigo Road Lweza - Wakiso.
Position Type: Full-time (5 Days a week)

About Us:

The Daniel Uganda Project, DUP, is a ministry partnership between the Church of Uganda
and Oryun Community Church in South Korea to secure the next generation in the
knowledge of God, and to prepare godly missional leadership for the nation(s).
At DUP, DWCE, or Dream Wave Christian Education aims at nurturing a profound
understanding of God's word and devotion among children and teenagers, passing on this
knowledge from one generation to the next. As part of DUP, DWCE focuses on fostering
Kingdom-minded transformational missional leaders for the future. Rooted in Psalm 78:4,
DWCE aims to facilitate spiritual growth and maturity in young people, leading them to live
as effective disciples who, in obedience to Christ's command, pass on their faith to others.
The DWCE curriculum is designed to engage students in scripture, help them understand
the story of God, instill life values, and encourage godly habits, ultimately shaping their lives
within the pivotal environments of church, home, and school.

Job Summary:

The Trainer will play a pivotal role in the DWCE Department, responsible for coordinating
and organizing trainings, equipping and supporting diocesan and regional trainers, ensuring
the effectiveness of training programs, and contributing to material development. The
Trainer will work closely with the DWCE team to facilitate spiritual growth and maturity in
young people, preparing them to live as effective disciples and pass on their faith to others.
Responsibilities:

1. Leadership and coordination:


- Lead the DWCE team in coordinating and organising trainings.
- Provide guidance and recommentations to enhance training effectiveness.

2. Equipping and Supporting Diocesan and Regional DWCE Trainers for Effective
Programs:
- Collaborate with diocesan and regional trainers to plan and schedule training sessions.
- Participate in training activities and provide ongoing support and mentorship.
- Organise refresher trainings and provide key reminders for upcoming trainings.

3. Ensuring DWCE Trainer Effectiveness at the Diocesan and Regional levels:


- Share sample teaching materials and maintain regular communication with trainers
through emails, direct phone calls and other platforms.
- Collect and analyze activity reports from the trainers.
- Prepare detailed reports on fieldwork activities and maintain an events calendar.
- Prepare detailed reports on fieldwork activities.
- Maintain a daily track of events in the field.

4. Training Skills Development:


- Conduct training sessions to equip staff and faculty with necessary skills.
- Stay updated on best practices in training methodologies and adult learning principles.

5. Progress Reporting:
- Generate comprehensive progress reports on training initiatives at provincial and diocesan
levels.

6. Networking and Collaboration:


- Establish and strengthen networks across the province to facilitate field training activities.
- Maintain regular communication with stakeholders through phone calls and other
channels.

7. Material Development:
- Develop and contextualize DWCE teaching materials in collaboration with the DWCE team.
- Streamline teaching materials to ensure alignment with program objectives.
8. Assessing Training Needs and Developing Relevant Resources
- Continuously assess training needs and develop relevant resources accordingly.
- Conduct research to identify and collect resources for training programs.

9. Additional Duties:
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

- MUST be a born-again Christian that seeks to follow Christ daily


- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree holder.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant software.
- Ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
- Flexibility: Willingness to travel and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Passion for children’s ministry: Genuine passion for working with children and teenagers.
- Desire to nurture transformational leaders and equip them for ministry.

Preferred but not required:

- Previous experience in Christian education or ministry leadership.


- Experience in coordinating training programs and developing curriculum.
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
