OVERVIEW OF YOUR PROJECT:
Prakasam district is a coastal district in Andhra Pradesh known for its

agriculture. The district grows a variety of crops throughout the year, with

paddy being the most abundant and exported to other districts and states.

Other crops grown in the district include maize, jowar, cotton, sugarcane,

groundnut, and pulses. Farming is the most common occupation in

Prakasam district

LOCALITY
We asked some questions to farmers in our locality and they give anserws to
us.most farmers are facing one problem some times due to Climate Change and
it leads to the heavy rains,floods,tsunami.people share thier what type of
problems they are facing in the agriculture and farming.

OBSERVATIONS:
From last 4 years farmers in Prakasam district have faced several problems such
as crop damage due to heavy rains, pest attacks on crops, and lack of proper
awareness, less adoption of modern technologies, lack of capital or gap between
farmers and government institutions.

CHALLENGES FACED:
1.Crop diseases
2.Heavy rains
3. High pesticide prices.

PROBLEM IDENTIFIED:
1. Climate Change and Unpredictable Weather Patterns
2. Water scarcity and inefficient irrigation practices
3. Lack of access to markets and fair prices
4. Farmer education and knowledge transfer
