How to Use this Book

Welcome to the second book in my series of random 1D100 tables.

It is my firm conviction based on decades of game mastering that random tables are one of
the most important tools in a GM’s kit.

Random tables cut session prep time and provide sparks of creativity and randomness that
keep sessions and GMs fresh.

Simply roll on the random table that best fits your game situation and allow the story to
emerge.

The tables in this book are divided into five categories: Names, Dungeons, Items & Things,
People, and Towns.

Since the first book in the series has 600 names for humans, there are 300 names for
creatures in this book. Never have a goblin named “Bob” again, unless it fits your story.

Rooms in dungeons are always tricky. Players want to search every inch, but as a game
master, you don’t want to keep giving out treasure. The four dungeon room tables give
interesting items for the characters to find without enriching them.

The item tables provide a wide variety of items from mundane tools to exciting adventure
hooks.

The tables organized under the People section offer quick non-player characters, jobs,
encounters, and more.

Coming up with a realistic town name after much thought is a challenge. Coming up with
one on the fly is insanely difficult. The 500 town names in the book are drawn from villages
in Great Britain that no longer exist, so they sound very convincing.

I hope you enjoy the random tables, and I wish you many fruitful adventures.
