The Question Paper consists of three sections A,B and C. Candidates are required to attempt all the
questions from Section A and all questions EITHER from Section B OR Section C .
Section A : Internal choice has been provided in two questions of two marks each and two
questions of four marks each and two questions of six marks each.
Section B : Internal choice has been provided in one question of two marks and one question of
four marks.
Section C : Internal choice has been provided in one question of two marks and one question of
four marks.
All working, including rough work, should be done on the same sheet as and adjacent to the rest of
the answer. The intended marks for questions or parts of questions are given in brackets [ ].

b) A company manufactures three types of calculators A,B,C in it’s two factories I and II.
The company has got an order for manufacturing at least 6400 calculators of type A,
4000 of type B and 4800 of type C. The daily output of Factory I is of 50 calculators of
type A, 50 calculators of type B and 30 calculators of type C. The daily output of
Factory II is of 40 calculators of type A, 20 calculators of type B and 40 calculators of
type C. The cost per day to run Factory I is ₹12000 and of Factory II is ₹15000. How
many days do the factories have to be in operation to produce the order with the
minimum cost ? Formulate this problem as an LPP and solve it graphically. [4]
