ABSTRACT

I thought it would be fun to fling things like raw eggs and rocks with a catapult. Guess

what, it was! By flinging these items I tried to find out if heavier things would travel
farther than

lighter ones. Basically how force effects motion.

With the catapult as the force, I sent items soaring, after weighing them, and then

recorded how far the items travelled. This showed me how Newtons Three Laws of
Motion

work.

Collect items around the house.

3. Weigh the items on a scale and record the results.

4. Measure out 40 feet in the yard with tape measure

5. Spray paint lines for each foot.

6. Conduct experiment with catapult pulled back to 180 degrees. (All the way back)

7. Record the results in log book.

8. Conduct experiment a second time with catapult pulled back to 90 degrees. (Half way
back)

9. Record results of second experiment in log book.

Variables

My dependant variables are the amount of force which is shown by how far I pull back

the arm on the catapult. My independant variables are the items and their different
weights

which represent mass/weight..

My experiment shows how my independant variables are effected by my depentant

variables as to force and motion.

everyone flinch and bow their heads in submission. My body as if robotically
stumbled up only to be back handed, I whimpered and got punched in the jaw in
response. His wolfs nails extended and he scratched my stomach. I whimpered in pain
grabbing my stomach. I felt the warm liquid on my hand but didn t look down, I

had scratched me causing blood to pour out of my wound. Everyone just sat there and
laughed at me. I looked at the blood that fell to the floor getting a little woozy at the
sight. My eyes flickered to Nathan my brother in fear. He looked pained for a second
before joining in with the laughter. You ok? A voice came from beside me. It was

African American Religion
In the African American community, a major component of our history is the institution
of religion. It has been with us since our time in Africa, and it still affects us today. The
sad realization is many African Americans today never learned the history to understand
how much religion affected us, so people of the current generation did not appreciate its
importance. Now, there is a social conflict between generations of Blacks in regards to
how they see religion. In this paper, I plan to show how religion has molded the African
American community into what it is today, and how African Americans perspective of
religion is changing in the community. Africans celebrated a unique collectivist culture
that believed that God was in every aspect... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This denomination started out as a part of the Methodist Episcopal Church, South.
This church separated from the Methodist Church over slavery, and during the Civil
War, its slave members flocked to the church. When the war concluded, the church had
a large amount of members it could not handle, so the General Conference of the
Church decided to give its black members their own separate church. This is one of the
few exceptions of a Black church facing conflict trying to become independent. In
more modern times, the Black Church is now facing new issues that challenges its
purpose. It faces conflict from the Hip Hop generation the generation of Blacks born to
members of the Hip Hop generation. The problem is now this generation is being
ignored by the church, and they are need of help. They need guidance in a world that is
giving them hundreds of mixed signals as to what they need in life, which is basically
