The Way Lgbtq Status, Disabilities, And Gender Affect...
In this essay, I will be looking at the way LGBTQ status, Disabilities, and Gender affect
development. Depending on the culture there can be many ways in which development
is affected. Each culture s view on the previously mentioned areas will determine what
happens next. Keep in mind the ways different cultures view these things will have an
impact on SES, Education opportunities, and access to Medical care and these can all
further impact general health and development at any stage of life. In the article,
Cultural Beliefs and Attitudes about Disability in East Africa, reported many East
African communities had varied beliefs about where disabilities come from such as
punishment for misdeeds, to Christian based views of divine intervention, to medical
explanations as well as sometimes a combination of any of the three. What was
interesting was a common theme found in regards to their value frequently fell to the
ability to contribute to the community and/or to fit in to social norms (social
development). This seemed to be more common in the rural areas. In other more urban
areas, the complete opposite was found. Education was denied to families with children
who had disabilities, work opportunities were also denied to them. The report further
states there is more compelling evidence that individuals with disabilities in East Africa
continue to be excluded from schools and opportunities for work, virtually ensuring that
they will be live as the poorest of the
Write An Argumentative Essay On Bulldogs
Humans and dogs have shared what can be called a sacred bond. Throughout history,
one can see many leaders have had dogs by their side. The English bulldog has grown
in popularity over the years, which has encouraged people to buy an English bulldog
before even researching about them. In order to become a good owner, one must be
aware of the medical costs, price for the dogitself, and how to properly care for the dog.
While one may think it is easy to own a bulldog, the breed is known to have major
health conditions. Many bulldogs are known to have shorter lifespans compared to
other dog breeds. A large majority of bulldogs require a soft palate surgery in order to
even breathe properly. Elongated soft palates narrows the airways in bulldogs, causing
increased airway resistance. This, in the worse case, can lead to heart failure or even
death. Bulldogs also tend to have problems with bones and joins. Chondrodysplasia, a
structural defect found in bulldogs, causes the legs in bulldogs to stop or slow down and
also makes their backs lengthen. One health... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When buying a bulldog, one has two options. One can buy a bulldog that has tons of
medical issues at a cheaper price, or one can buy a more expensive bulldog that has fewer
medical issues. Even a cheap bulldog can cost between 300 to 500 dollars, and that is just
for the dog itself. A well bred bulldog usually is priced from a range of 1,500 to 4,000
dollars. The better the breeder, the more expensive the dog. On top of that, the owner
has to buy special insurance for a bulldog because of all its health issues. They also have
special diets and specific food allergies, which means that the owner has to buy special
bulldog food to fit their needs. Bulldogs all have expensive and special needs, so the
owners themselves need to be responsible in order to properly take care of
The Book of Obadiah
This brief book of the Hebrew Bible is very significant in that it is one of only two of
the Minor Prophetic books that are addressed entirely to a nation other than Israel and
Judah. The Book of Obadiah deals with the ancient feud between Israel and the nation of
Edom, between the descendants of Jacob and those of his brother Esau. Through the
prophet Obadiah, the Lord expressed His indignation at the nation of Edom. When they
should have been helping their relatives, they were gloating over the Israelites
problems and raiding their homes. The Book of Obadiah brings an important message
about oppressors and the oppressed, betrayers and those who have been betrayed.
Arising out of a time of national crisis, it has a word for innocent bystanders and also
survivors. A day was coming, the day of the Lord, when all these wrongs would be
righted. The Lord would bring justice to the world.
Rabbi Halpren is of the belief that this small book is worthy of theological scholarship
and hermeneutical exegesis. He says; Obadiah is more fortunate that most prophetic
books of the Bible despite its miniscule size. It is one of the few biblical books read in
the synagogue in its entirety and its last verse is recited daily in the Jewish liturgy. It is
generally neglected as an object of study probably because of its unimpressive
dimensions. Yet, it is an archetypical example of prophetic style and content. The size of
the book does not diminish its importance and worth

In order to defeat the rest of Houston s army, Santa Anna decided to separate his army.
However, Santa Anna s troops are exhausted from the Battle of the Alamo, causing them
to struggle to keep up with Houston s fresh troops. Houston devised a strategy, that
would allow him to choose the place where they would confront Santa Anna s army.
Santa Anna s plans were to circumnavigate Houston and his troops in order to surround
them and force them to admit defeat. The Mexicans make camp while the Texans silently
prepare to attack later in the night. The Mexicans fighting on the Texans side placed cards
in their hats to avoid confusion among Texan troops. Sam Houston orders the Texans to
charge at the Mexican encampment. Many flee into the forest, including Santa Anna,
who is in his pajamas, trying to imitate a private. Sam Houston leads the attack until his
horse is shot and he falls off and breaks his leg. He is unable to continue leading the
Texans, but nonetheless the Texans win this battle known as the Battle of San Jacinto.
During this battle, the Texans defeated the Mexican forces in less than eighteen minutes.
Because the Texans considered the Battle of the Alamo a massacre, they became more
determined to avenge their companions who died. Therefore, the famous saying,
Remember the Alamo! was chanted as the Texans brutally attacked the Mexicans. Santa
Anna s choice of splitting his army into three groups made him vulnerable, allowing the
Texans to take control of the Battle of San Jacinto. The Texans captured Santa Anna and
forced him to sign a treaty, giving Texas independence and surrendering the control of his
army. Nine years later, Texas was annexed into the United States, becoming the twenty
eighth state on December 29,
