Crafting an essay on the subject of "Homework" can be both challenging and stimulating. The
complexity arises from the need to strike a balance between presenting compelling arguments while
remaining objective and factual. To effectively persuade the audience, one must delve into various
aspects of the topic, including its educational value, potential drawbacks, and alternative approaches.
Initially, researching credible sources to gather evidence and statistics is crucial. This process
demands time and effort to sift through vast amounts of information, ensuring the incorporation of
diverse perspectives. Furthermore, structuring the essay in a coherent manner requires careful
planning. Developing a clear thesis statement and organizing supporting points logically can be
daunting tasks, especially when navigating through conflicting opinions.
Despite these challenges, crafting a persuasive essay on the topic of "Homework" offers an
opportunity for personal growth and intellectual exploration. It encourages writers to critically
examine educational practices and advocate for change where necessary. By articulating well-
reasoned arguments supported by evidence, one can contribute to meaningful discussions
surrounding education reform.
In conclusion, writing a persuasive essay on this topic requires diligence, critical thinking, and
effective communication skills. It demands a thorough understanding of the subject matter and the
ability to present compelling arguments convincingly. However, despite its challenges, the process
offers valuable insights and the opportunity to effect positive change in educational practices.
The costliest and most ambitious picture ever screened in Europe (Jensen) the film was
premiered on January 10, 1927 at the UFA Palace, in Berlin, before an enormous
audience which included many members of the political and artistic hierarchy. Initially
Metropolis did not meet critical expectations. Like many science fiction films of the
present it was praised visually, yet, its sappy predictable view of society was heavily
bombarded by negative reviews. Still it attracted huge ... Show more content on

The scene is of great visual impact, with dark figures glimpsed merely as silhouettes in
the dusty air and hazy light of the machine room. Through a screen of smoke an
accident is viewed by Freder, who is fittingly dressed in white garb. He is absolutely
shocked as he witnesses the dark figures bearing the casualties file past, shot against the
light.
As Freder makes his transition into the underworld, we come to the scene in the
catacombs where a crowd of dark figures with pale faces is contrasted with the white
crosses in the background, and the touching figure of the good Maria. The construction of
the great tower is shown to us as we witness thousands slaving to complete it. The
workers, without choice, lug the great stones through the streets.
The view of the towering luminous city is amazingly visualized. Obviously a New York
inspired vision, the buildings reach high into the heavens in a complete fantastic manner.
The presence of the mammoth structures is is the encounter of Expressionism and
Surrealism (Eisner). The dreams that Freder experiences are similarly expressionistic
surreal (idem). As everything is spinning around him Freder is seemingly falling into a
deep nothingness. Here real pandemonium should have begun... Lang had originally
planned much more powerful versions of the evil forces loosed by the creation of the
robot... but in the surviving versions of the film only Freder, in his fevered dreams, can
see the woman who sits

It was a 1951 TIME cover story, which dubbed the Beats a Silent Generation, that led to
Allen Ginsberg s retort in his poem America, in which he vocalises a frustration at this
loss of self importance. The fifties Beat Generation, notably through Jack Kerouac s On
the Road and Allen Ginsberg s Howl #61482; as will here be discussed, fought to
revitalise individuality and revolutionise their censored society which seemed to produce
everything for the masses at the expense of the individual s creative and intellectual
potential. Indeed, as John Clellon Holmes once noted: TIME magazine called them the
Silent Generation, but this may have been because TIME was not ... Show more content

Williams theory therefore suggests that the terms must necessarily co exist in order to
define each other. The pervasiveness of consent therefore characterises the fifties, against
which these Beat texts can be contrasted. Theodore Roszak s 1969 article The Making of
a Counterculture, helps define beat ideology as heightened self expression and often a
rejection of political and authoritative institutions... a negative spirit of the times coupled
with a specific lifestyle . Both On the Road and Howl and their author s lifestyles of their
writers reflect this criterion, in idiomatic and contextual terms, lending to the notion that
they are, by the overall nature of their existence, countercultural texts. Roszak s
adolescent counterculture often seems the embodiment of Dean and Sal s beatitude in
On the Road when they pulse to music...value what is raunchy... flare against authority,
seek new experience, but it is similarly descriptive of the naked, sometime vulgar
language Ginsberg employs in Howl who bit detectives in the neck... let themselves be
fucked in the ass. (13) The Beats admire the vibrancy naturally present among youth, and
although this is a style for which their writing has been criticised, it is a move away from

Language Comprehension And Children With Autism
Spectrum...
In this particular research article written by Sara T. Kover, Eileen Haebig, Ashley Oakes,
Andrea McDuffie, Randi J. Hagman, and Leonard Abbeduto there has been a broadly
characterized ideal that there may be a particular impairment of language comprehension
in children with autism spectrum disorder. So, in order to build upon this profile, the
purpose of this study was to differentiate between lexically and syntactically based
difficulties in school age boys with autismspectrum disorder, alongside a subgroup of
boys with autism spectrumdisorder and intellectual disability in comparison to typically
developing boys. By assessing the source of language comprehension impairment for
children with autism spectrum disorder the article did not only allow for analysis of the
underlying issue but also prove that language comprehension is a crucial component of
continued development in adaptive and academic skills. So, outlining the extent in which
the impairment of sentence comprehension was lexical or syntactic related to knowledge
will help further understand the points of receptive vocabulary expectations and
nonverbal cognition.
Description of Research This study involved forty five boys with autism spectrum
disorder, ages four to eleven years old, and forty five boys with typical development,
ages 2 6 years old. On the basis of selection, boys with ASD were recruited on a national
and local standard. On the contrary, participants with typical development were recruited
An Effective And Economical Approach For Extracting
Depth...
Abstract:
In the reference paper, an effective and economical approach for extracting depth
information and recovering sharp image is provided. Mainly, a new deconvolution
method, sparse prior provides more accurate deconvolution results and improves depth
discrimination; so, both image information and depth information can be recovered from
the modified photograph taken by the camera using coded aperture.
In my paper, two optimizations for the deconvolution will be provided by using regular
iterative least square method (RILS) and iterative reweighted least square method (IRLS).
By using the optimization deconvolution algorithms, we can recover the original image
with more acceptable recovered image. The runtime for the original ... Show more content

Background:
In the reference paper, a photo taken by camera follows: y=f*x+n (2) where f is a scaled
version of the aperture, the n is noise, the x is the real sharp image and the y is the
received photo. Accordingly, if f is already known (how to design f is discussed in the
reference paper), people needs to deconvolve y to recover x. There are several
deconvolution algorithms currently, including Richardson Lucy deconvolution algorithm.
In this work, a new deconvolution strategy, the sparse prior , is proposed.
Assume that the derivatives of the unobserved real x follows a zero mean Gaussian
distribution, so it follows:
P(x)∝∏_(i,j)▒e^( 0.5α((x(i,j) x(i+1,j))^2+(x(i,j) x(i,j+1))^2)) (3)
Consider (x(i,j) x(i+1,j))^2 and (x(i,j) x(i,j+1))^2 are the convolution between gx = [1, 1]
and x, gy = [1, 1] T and x, respectively. Accordingly, the P(x) can be expressed as:
P(x)∝N(0,α (CgxTCgx+ CgyTCgy) 1) (4) where a should be a constant that is selected
by human, Cgx and Cgy are the convolution matrix for gx and gy, respectively. Assume
n ~ N(0, η2I), the resulted photo y can be expressed as: P(y)∝N(0, CfTα (CgxTCgx+
CgyTCgy) 1Cf+ η2I) (5)
Under this statistical model, the deconvolution problem can be
