How to Use Microsoft Word On A Laptop

Microsoft Word is a word processing software developed by Microsoft. Microsoft Word


was developed by Microsoft Corporation, and its first version was released in October 1983. Its
primary purpose is to allow users to create, edit, and format documents for various purposes,
such as writing letters, reports, or creating professional documents with features like spell-check,
formatting tools, and collaboration capabilities.

Steps :

Step 1: Turn on the Laptop

Press the power button to turn on the laptop. Wait until the operating system makes its body and
reaches the desktop.

Step 2: Sign in

Enter your username and password to log in to the laptop

Step 3: Refresh Laptop


Click using the mouse or touchbar on the laptop, then click refresh to keep the laptop running
well

Step 4: Connect to Wi-Fi

If your work requires Wi-Fi, click the network icon and connect to an available Wi-Fi network.

Step 5: Open the App

Double click on the desired application icon to open a software program such as Microsoft Word

Step 6: Open MS Word

After Microsoft Word opens, click file then click new document
Step 7: Start Typing

Start typing something, if you want to add an image you can click the insert icon then click
picture and the image is already in your document

Step 8: Save the file

After typing is complete, save the document by clicking the file icon then click save as and give
a name to your document which will automatically be saved.
Step 9: Shutdown or Logout

After finishing using the laptop, turn it off properly by clicking the Windows icon at the bottom
left corner, then scroll down to find the power button then click Shut Down

Step 10: Close the Laptop Cover

Gently close the laptop cover to protect the screen.
