Introduction (text): The COVID-19 pandemic has exacerbated mental health problems in the

workplace. Teleworking has brought new stresses as workers find

themselves isolated or juggling work and personal life.

Voice over (with animation): As the world shifted during the last months, businesses are
scrambling to mitigate losses and return to normalcy. Understandably,
businesses tend to focus on keeping their workers physically healthy to
become productive at work, including supporting social distancing with
the technology needed to work from home, to new hygiene standards for
the workers and workplaces. However, businesses should not ignore an
issue of paramount importance for sustained success throughout this
crisis and beyond: the mental health of their workers.

Text: Faced with this incredible level of uncertainty, the ST-i CARE is going to conduct an
online webinar which encompasses a new guide for workers and businesses. It will
talk about practical advice to manage work-related psychosocial risks, both during
lockdown and the return to work.

Voice over (with animation): In this webinar, it will discuss the Mental Health Law
(Republic Act no. 11306) and its Implementing Rules and Regulations and to
raise awareness on mental health issues among workers.

Text: The webinar will be conducted on May 3, 2021 at exactly 9 o’clock in the morning with
its title “Insufficiency of Robust Mental Health Policy for Workplaces in the Philippines
during the Covid-19 Pandemic”. The webinar link will be available in the official website
of ST-i CARE.

Last Voice over: if not appropriately assessed and managed, psychosocial risks can trigger or
deepen distress and lead to chronic mental health disorders. That’s why it’s so important
to talk about mental health clearly and openly in order to protect workers and their
families.
