We choose Motorstar Company because of its facility. Their company is quite

prone to hazard that involved by a motorcycle itself. And we have come to the idea that we will

choose this company since it is convenient for us to ask some questions. Aside from that, we

also have a quick access to the respondents because one of our members had a relative that is

currently working in that company. With the help of questionnaire or survey as our data

gathering method, we have observed such conclusion with regards to their facility and the safety

of the company workers. Nevertheless, we find the technology as essential for gathering

information by sending the copy of questionnaire to the respondents’ social media accounts and

emails, since we can prevent social interaction with the respondents and observe the quarantine

protocols.

A. Give a summary of how the respondents feel about their safety in their workplace.

Based on the accumulated answers in the survey, the respondents’ feeling about their

safety in their workplace tends to agree that they are perfectly safe in their workplace.

It’s just that some of them are quite missing some major points on how and what should

they do in terms of their actions to prevent danger or casualties. Based on their answer,

there are lack of supervisions to ensure safety of their colleagues, there should be

constant supervisions and regular reminder of safety work habits in their workplace.

B. Were there questions wherein their similarities in the respondent’s ratings?

Yes, mostly all of them think that working in that company gives them the proper safety

procedures to ensure them that everything is safe. No matter how long or years of the

respondents’ employment, they are happy with the way of their workplace are being

safe. However, there are some questions which they rate that are a bit of having a
dislike approval which are quite disagreeing for them. These questions are mainly for

their self-awareness in terms of action which is a must or not to do. Overall, the

employees of Motorstar agreed that they are safe within their facilities, workplace, or

even equipment, and they are certain that their workplace is safe.

C. Would you say that the respondents are aware of their safety in the workplace?

Base on the respondents’ answers, they are all aware of their safety in the workplace.

Because according to their responses, they all know where the evacuation plan is

situated, fire extinguisher, and others, because if there is something that will happen to

the company where they are working, they all know where to exit safely.

D. Could you say that based on the respondent’s answers, the company values the safety

of its employees?

Yes, we strongly agree on it. Because majority of the respondents’ answers, it clearly

agreed by most of them that their company focuses on the safety of the workers, and not

only on the profit itself. And obviously, if the company does not value the safety of its

employees, the ratings on the survey will result to the negative ratings.

E. Is there a need to make a recommendation regarding value-based safety? If so, write

your recommendations.

Based on our opinion, there can still be room for improvement regarding to the value-

based safety. Some of our recommendations are: enhance the meaningful involvement

of all employees and heads in important safety activities; improve the ability of leaders to

manage employee safety effectively and in alignment with corporate values; establish a

formal safety observation and feedback process involving all employees and leaders;

and create a positive work environment that builds pride in safety process and

accomplishment.
