Borneo project- is a settlement plan in borneo to take his his relatives and other filipino families
dispossessed in calamaba, to borneo and to establish filipino community.

3. Constitution and by-laws of the liga filipina (liga filipina is an association of patriotic filipino for civic
purposes.)
-it is the most important writing by rizal during his hongkong sojourn.
-Written in this paper is the objectives of liga filipina which aimst to unite the whole archipelago into one
society with equality for Filipinos and Spaniards in the Philippines and to provide protection or defense
against all violence and injustices.

On June 19.1892 rizal spent his 31st birthday in hongkong. Evidently he had premonition of his death, for
the following day, June 20 he wrote two letters which he sealed inscribed in each envelop was “to be
opened after my death,” and gave them to his friend Dr. Marques for safekeeping.

1. The first letter was addressed to his parents, brethren, and friends.
-Rizal expressed that he caused so much sufferings to his parents, brethren and friends but he did not
regret what he has done, Rizal stated “If I had to begin over again I should do just the same, for what I
have done has been only in pursuit of my duty”.
2. Second letter was addressed to the filipinos.
-Rizal expressed his loyalty and love to our country. Rizal stated “I cannot live on seeing so many suffer
unjust persecution on my account; I cannot bear the sight of my sister and their numerous families
treated like criminals. I prefer death and cheerfully shall relinquish life to free so many innocent persons
from such unjust persecution”
