The United States had 251 mass shootings during the first 216 days of 2019!!!!!

How

shock! So what is mass shooting? technically, mass shooting (also called active

shooter incident) as defined by the U.S. FBI, an event in which one or more
individuals are “actively” engaged in killing or attempting to kill ppl in a dense area.

Mass shootings happen all over the war but esp in the U.S.A. As of 2015, every 12,5

days four or more ppl are dead because of mass shootings (James N. Meindl, Pdh

and Jonathan W.TVY, Phd). As normal, when it comes to the reasons for active

shooter incidents, ppl are associated with psychopaths, I.S.Cultural roots, however,

are actually overlooked. In this essay we will elaborate on the

aforementioned.

America has long had a culture of using guns freely for self-defense purposes.

Surprisingly this is one of the main reasons for mass shootings. As mentioned, gun

ownership laws were put in place to protect the owners themselves. However, over

the decades, the original purpose has changed. In addition to self-defense, some

people also use guns to resolve personal conflicts when they lose control and this

has caused many unfortunate incidents. In fact, the latest data show that people use

guns for self-defense only rarely. According to a Harvard University analysis of

figures from the National Crime Victimization Survey, people defended themselves

with a gun in nearly 0.9 percent of crimes from 2007 to 2011.

Movie culture is also one of the causes of violence, especially among children in the

US. America is famous for its cinema with many famous film studios, typically

Hollywood studios. In addition, American films are diverse in genres such as

romantic comedy, action, psychology ... according to Pavel Prikhodko, Ph.D.

Machine Learning, one of the most revenue generating genres is action. between

1995 and 2016, action films earned $33.36 billion at the box office. This shows that

the genre is very popular and loved by young people, and it is clear that the action

scenes cannot be without violence. This may seem harmless, but according to a

research by psychologists L. Rowell Huesmann, Leonard Eron, and others starting in

the 1980s found that children whowatched many hours of violence on television

when they were in elementary school tended to show higher levels of aggressive

behavior when they became teenagers. Thisis easier to do because movie theaters

in the US do not strictly check the age of moviegoers.

Racial diversity is also an issue that cannot be ignored. It is clear to see that America

is a place of immigration by many races from many parts of the world such as Asia,

Europe, Africa. This means that Americans have many cultures, beliefs and

religions, so it is normal for conflicts between beliefs to occur. But it is worth

mentioning that conflicts sometimes go too far, leading to wars between religious

beliefs and can cause the death of not only participants but also innocent people.

According to the Encyclopedia of Wars, 7% of the 1763 recorded wars had religion

as their primary cause. Most of these wars are trivial and tons of people are killed

without hesitation.

To summarize, the number of mass shootings is still increasing uncontrollably due to

gun laws, movie culture and religious conflicts. To reduce this number, every
countries should focus on the main problem of their country and fix it as soon as

possible Although it is hard to predict, with the actions

of most countries, it might be a bright future where there will be no more mass

shooting events.
