PROPOSED SCHEME OF SERVICE

ORGANISATION: Mauritius Sports Council


POST: Vulnerable youth Coach
SALARY: Rs 16 000 + Transport Rs 2000

QUALIFICATIONS:

A. Proof of Secondary Education

B. Be Computer Literate

C. Pocessed a minimum of 2 years of experience in Social Work.

DUTIES

1. Attend Training , Capacity Building and Continuous Professional Development Programmes.


2. Planning and delivering activity sessions in one or more assigned locations

3. Ensuring accurate collection of personal data of participants

4. Empowering youth with self-regulation skills

5. Maintaining accurate records of attendance and updates of datasheet in order to facilitate reporting

6. Motivating participants to get involve in the various activities and sustaining their full participation in all

the activities propose by the programme

7. Ensuring that safety and injury prevention policies are strictly adhere to by participants; report accidents

and prepare accident report, as required

8. Liaising and networking with local stakeholders for the benefit of the participants

9. Collaborating with other programmes delivered by Active Mauritius for the benefit of the participants

10. To submit relevant data to the Programme Officer or the Director Council as and when required

11. Promoting effective communication and relationship skills among adults and peers

12. Helping youth cope with stress and emotions


13. Fostering a sense of coherence and self-esteem in the youth

14. Improving and maintaining their general health and well-being.

15. Promoting physical activities among the vulnerable youth at risk by providing opportunities for them to
engage in structured sports and physical activities and encourage them in regular exercise, so as they can
improve their physical fitness, develop motor skills, and enhance their overall health.

16. Developing important life skills among the vulnerable youth at risk by encouraging them to actively
participating in team-based activities and games, so as they can learn essential skills such as teamwork,
communication, leadership, problem-solving, and goal-setting.

17. Fostering Social Inclusion among the participants by providing a platform for vulnerable youth to interact
and connect with their peers. Through team sports and group activities, they can develop social bonds,
build positive relationships, and enhance their sense of belonging and community engagement.

18. Fostering an inclusive and supportive environment that celebrates diversity, encourages teamwork, and
promotes mutual respect among all participants and staff.
