STANDARDS FOR EDUCATORS

2.1 Learner
Educators continually improve their practice by

1 learning from and with others, and exploring proven

and promising practices that leverage technology to
boost student learning.
2.1.a Set Professional Goals
Set professional learning goals to explore and apply
pedagogical approaches made possible by
technology and reflect on their effectiveness.

APPLYING THE STANDARD

I will have my students at the beginning of the school
year set class goals and personal goals they want to
accomplish by the end of the year. At the end of the
school year, I will give them their papers back and

see if the achieved their goals.

2.3 Citizen
Educators inspire students to positively contribute to and responsibly participate in the digital

world.
2.3.a Create Positive Experiences
Create experiences for learners to make positive, socially responsible
contributions and exhibit empathetic behavior online that build relationships
and community.

APPLYING THE STANDARD

I will let the class come up with a class contract on how
they can be helpful for themselves and for their
classmates on how to respect one another and
themselves. The students will sign the contract and it

will be posted on the wall with their class period so they
can see it all year.

2.7.a Offer Alternative Assessments
Provide alternative ways for students to demonstrate
competency and reflect on their learning using
technology.

APPLYING THE STANDARD

In my class, students will be given multiple extra
credit opportunities. These opportunities will be
research projects of a topic they are interested
in. There will be a topic list for extra credit
opportunities.
