Report on public transport system of Baku

Introduction
The purpose of the report is to evaluate the public transport system of Baku and at
the same time give some recommendation for improving current situation on the
roads.
Availability
Baku is famous for its public transport system and as here live around 3 million
people they require different types of public transport. Here can be found such
transports as underground, buses, commuter train and tramway. As a matter of fact,
the research that was made by European Transport Authority, has conducted that
the public system of Baku one of the best among the Caucuses cities. So it is quite
convenient for local people to commute.
Problems
However, there is still room for improvement. One day it is easy to commute, the
next day you in traffic gridlock. There are a lot of traffic congestions in Baku, this
is due to the increase of auto owners. To the recent research a whopping 47% of
families try to have at least 2 cars, which means that the government cannot to
keep in pace with the enlargement of traffic roads and it leads to a problem of
reaching destination. Another problem that can be faced by locals is peak time at
Tube stations. This issue arises because of shortage of station lines
Improvements
In order to remedy the situation, first and foremost, the government should provide
policy in expanding road lines, which can ease traffic congestion. What is more,
toll roads also could be included to tackle the problem with traffic gridlocks.
Besides, measures like controlling people using subway and creating more station
lines can keep away from overcrowding in the underground

To reiterate. Baku is one of most fast-growing cities and it has opportunity to keep
in pace with the time. If the local authority put more efforts in developing region
public transport system, the city will more attractive for tourists and besides for
working people.
