development, team assessments, benchmarking and assessment centres.

Role: Consultant- Business Development

Objective: To market the products in respective territory and achieve defined targets to increase
year on year revenue.

Key Result Areas – In order to achieve the overall objective/goal of the role, its divided into
interlinked result areas like:

1. Monthly, yearly, quarterly targets to be achieved.

2. Acquisition and retention of clients.

3. Revenue from diversified products.

4. Increased marketing activities.

* Here we have mentioned the result areas broadly which can be more specific in terms of numbers
according to the experience and level of individual.
Activities to be done for achieving result areas:

1. Connecting with clients over Phone calls


2. Business Meetings
3. Proposal submission
4. Creating new client – Convert prospect into client/customer by following the entire sales
process
5. Upselling –
a. Understanding client’s business
b. Analyzing and understanding their problems and pitching/ offering relevant solution.
6. Follow up (Ongoing)
7. Upselling (Ongoing)
8. Marketing activities –
c. Maximize/ Increase the number of certified people in territory.
d. Social/Media activities to maximize the reach and increased visibility in the market.
e. Attending HR conferences etc and sending mailers.
9. Submission of daily, monthly, quarterly and yearly report.

Requirements:

Education: Post Graduate in Management / Human Resources from a premier institute. Candidates
having management degrees other than in HR but interested to work in HR / people consulting
may also be likely candidates

Experience: Approximate years of experience: 0 - 4 years in Industry/ Consulting.

 Demonstrated selling success/sales track record

 Proven experience developing high level contacts (CXO’s)

 Ability to apply the firms positioning and brand strategy to all aspects of business
development efforts

 Exposure to Human Resource practices and systems would be preferred.

Skills and Knowledge:

 Excellent written and verbal communication skills


 Proficiency in power point and spreadsheets is essential.
 Conceptual / analytical skills and attention to detail
 Ability to work in unstructured environments
 Internal locus of control (Having a can do attitude)
 Ability to work independently and across multiple assignments
 Team working skills
 Ability to handle clients at a senior level
 Learning orientation
 Leadership qualities
