CIRCULAR

Sub.: Plagiarism check using Turnitin– reg.,

The Centre for Research (CFR), Anna University has been conducting
plagiarism investigation on the research documents submitted by the
scholars/applicants for the approval of synopsis, thesis and supervisor
recognition using the Urkund online software tool provided by the Information
and Library Network Centre (INFLIBNET) of the UGC.

However, the service provider Urkund suddenly stopped the similarity check
services with just a week's notification, which ended on 30thSep. 2023. UGC is
currently working with another service provider to reinitiate the service
provided to the Universities. Hence during the interim period, the Centre for
Research will conduct the similarity check using Turnitin software until further
notice for the approval of Synopsis and Thesis.

Supervisors who do not have access to any plagiarism software at their institute
can avail of a one-time service per scholar at the Centre for Research.
