Bangkok – Suvarnabhumi International Airport

From Suvarnabhumi International Airport (BKK) to Downtown Area

BY TRAIN: This is the best way to get to downtown Bangkok from Suvarnabhumi. You can take the
Airport Rail Link from Suvarnabhumi to Phaya Thai Station (THB 45). From there, you can transfer to the
BTS line and take it to the station nearest your hotel. You can purchase tickets at the station but you can
get a small discount if you buy it in advance through Klook.

BY BUS: You can catch the S1 bus from Suvarnabhumi to Khaosan Road. Departing from Gate 7 on the
first floor of the passenger terminal, the fare is THB 60 and it runs every 30 minutes from 6AM-8PM.

BY TAXI OR GRAB: A taxi from Suvarnabhumi to downtown Bangkok should cost you around THB 400
(with airport surcharge and toll). Be sure that the driver uses the meter since taxi scams are quite
rampant in Bangkok.

BY PRIVATE TRANSFER: This is the easiest and most comfortable option, but it’s also the most expensive.
You can book private transfers from Suvarnabhumi International Airport (BKK) to downtown Bangkok on

Before the evening kicks in, go to Mahanakhon SkyWalk and catch the sunset. This spot is the best place to
see the entire view of Bangkok and its magical cityscape.

Once you reach the glass skywalk, you’ll be surrounded by the beautiful scenery of tall buildings and busy
streets. All these complement the glowing scenery of the golden skyline.

Bangkok Night Foodie Tour in Chinatown
 Bangkok’s Chinatown is definitely a
recommended place to visit in Bangkok. Home
to countless amazing street food vendors and
local eateries, Chinatown is one large foodie-
heaven. But it’s not only the food that attracts
so many people on a daily basis. The bright
neon lights, the Chinese shops, the chaos that
you never experienced before and the typical
smell of Chinese herbs gives you the illusion
that you are not in Bangkok at all.

Exploring Bangkok’s Magnificent Temples

8:30 AM TO 11:00 AM
GRAND PALACE & WAT PHRA KAEW (Temple of the Emerald Buddha)

 Architecturally fantastic, the Wat Phra Kaew temple complex is also the spiritual core of Thai Buddhism
and the monarchy, symbolically united in what is the country’s most holy image, the Emerald Buddha.
Attached to the temple complex is the Grand Palace, the former royal residence, once a sealed city of
intricate ritual and social stratification.
 Tickets are purchased inside the complex; anyone telling you it's closed is likely a gem tout or a con
artist. (costs 500B)
 Carry drinking water. It gets hot on the bare courtyard during the day and the only cafeteria within the
complex isn't always open.
 Visitors should dress appropriately when visiting both Wat Phra Kaew and the Grand Palace. You won’t
be allowed to enter unless you’re well covered. Shorts, sleeveless shirts, spaghetti-strap tops, cropped
pants – basically anything that reveals more than your lower arms and head – are not allowed. Those
who don't meet the dress code can expect to be shown into a dressing room and issued with a sarong
before being allowed in – this adds to queuing and unnecessary delays.

LUNCH: Baan Tha Tien Cafe

This a well-known dining spot located near Grand Palace and Wat Pho. It offers an amazing food selection for
different travelers. Don’t miss their tasty Pad Thai, Tom Yam Kung, Thai-style fried rice, and many more. The
food choices are not just delicious but also cheap. The prices cost between 50 Baht and 120 Baht, which is
very affordable.
12:00 NN to 2:00 PM
WAT PHO (Temple of the Reclining Buddha)
Wat Pho is a just a short walk away and is the younger brother to the Grand Palace.

 One of the highlights here is the huge reclining Buddha that is 46 meters long. It’s literally a gigantic
golden figure, making it the largest Buddha statue in Thailand. So, if you want to visit the highest
grade among all other first-class temples, this should be part of your list.

2:00 PM to 4:00 PM
WAT ARUN (Temple of the Dawn)
To reach Wat Arun, you just need to walk from Wat Pho to Tha Tien pier. This will take around 4 minutes.
From the pier, you have to take a cross-river ferry to get to Wat Arun within 5 minutes. The fare is 4 Baht per
person for a one-way trip.

 This is a very beautiful

temple situated along the
riverside.

 There are plenty of gorgeous

spots here, including the
colorful spires that
complement the water
scenery. The religious items
inside are also very
impressive.

 The architectural beauty of

the temple is totally unique.
So, take your time and
capture many picturesque
photos. For sure, you will be
in awe of the amazing photo
4:00 PM to 8:00 PM
ASIATIQUE: THE RIVERFRONT
To get to Asiatique from Wat Arun, you have to take the cross-river ferry first back to Tha Tien pier. From
there, you need to ride the orange flag boat going to Sathorn pier. The boat rate costs 15 Baht. Once you
reach Sathorn pier, change to Asiatique free shuttle boat. This will bring you to the market directly for a span
of 10 minutes.

Asiatique is a top-rated marketplace with over 1,500 stalls and 40 restaurants. This is one of favorite markets
to go in Bangkok because of its incredible array of activities.

This place is full of local shops with all kinds of fashion items and handicrafts. There are also cozy bars and
street food stalls to enjoy too.

And course, the lovely river views are absolute satisfying.

Standing at nearly 350 feet, the spectacular building
known as the Sanctuary of Truth in Pattaya is a religious
building, intended to signify all religious philosophies that
eventually lead to a single truth. It is made entirely of
wood and houses contemporary art. Taoist and
Confucianist philosophies are quite prevalent in the
artwork. Why it’s Awesome? It’s the world’s largest
wooden castle!

Market Day (Floating + Weekend + Night Market)
MORNING
KHLONG LAT MAYOM FLOATING MARKET

There are several floating markets in Bangkok, but I recommend this place because of its location, and the
place is well-organized. Having a bunch of handmade stuff, plenty of local foods & desserts and lovely boat
tour activity, but more importantly, the beautiful old day atmosphere.

A long-tailed boat tour will take about 90 mins (round trip). The ticket price is around 100 baht/person.

HOW TO GET THERE:

 BTS and Taxi – Take the BTS Skytrain to Bang Wa station on the Thonburi side of Bangkok. From
Bang Wa, jump in a taxi, tell the driver Talad Nam Khlong Lat Mayom (ตลาดน้ำคลองลัดมะยม), it will
take about 15 minutes to get to the market and cost about 80 THB ($0.70).
 Direct Taxi – Depending on where you’re staying, especially if you’re in Silom, Sathon, or around
Khao San (Banglamphu), I’d recommend skipping the BTS, and just taking a direct taxi (should cost
about 120 – 180 THB to get to the floating market). I took a taxi from the market back to Khao San
area for 125 THB ($3.51).

AFTERNOON
CHATUCHAK MARKET
Chatuchack Weekend Market is indoor and
outdoor market, Also known as JJ Market was

Mall Shopping
SIAM DISTRICT
The best is to head to Siam district, where all the moderns and trendy shopping centers are located.

 At the MBK Center, you will find electronics as well as clothes. There is also a bazaar-like section with
souvenir stores.
 The Siam Paragon, is on the other hand, more chic, with lots of luxury boutiques.

the mall houses many hundreds of shops and restaurants and even an indoor floating market. Its
