Here also Lead Acid Battery performance is a critical issue for their users. The advantage of this

becoming unfavourable due to just one problem and that is “SULPHATION”.

● 80% batteries die due to the sulphation of their lead plates caused by a chemical reaction
between lead and sulphuric acid.
● 20% batteries die due to other causes such as wrong charging, short circuit, corrosion,
misuse etc.
● Removal of sulphation results in reviving the battery to complete its remaining cycles and
enhance its backup time.
● Further, it saves the environment from hazardous pollution and is a huge benefit to the
economy.
● Out of INR 70,000 crore sales of lead-acid batteries around INR 30,000 crore per year
come with new OEM equipment.
● Size of replacement battery market is INR 40,000 crore.
● Hazardous pollution caused by disposing 10 crore battery pieces every year far outweighs
the cost burden on the economy.
● The latest solution is to enhance the useful life of batteries, thus deferring their
replacement cycle.

WHAT IS SULFATION?
Sulfation happens inside Lead-Acid batteries when the electrolyte starts to break
down.

As the sulphuric acid (electrolyte) splits up, sulfur ions become free forming crystals.

These sulfur ion crystals then stick to the lead plates of the battery, thus forming lead
sulfate crystals.

With time the crystals grow in size and become hard, covering the lead plates
completely.

This coverage deteriorates the overall efficiency and power storage capability of the
battery.

If left untreated, the sulfation process will only worsen the condition and the user will
end up losing their battery.

CAUSES OF SULFATION
● Using charge having wrong ampere rating for battery.
● Undercharged battery.
● Going too long without recharging discharged battery.
● Low electrolyte level.
● Any battery plate exposed to air.

 De-sulfation Techniques
 Each Lead-Acid battery has atotal frequency of around 2 to 6 megahertz. Ifelectricity pulses of low power,but high
frequency and high voltage are sent into the battery, rhythmic resonance of the plates causes the crystal deposits to
split and the sulfate comes back to the electrolyte solution. However, this method of de-sulfation takes three to four
weeks normally, throughout which the battery must be trickle charged i.e.charged in parallel to the de-sulphator so
that the battery gets rejuvenated and completely charged.

PRODUCT CHARACTERISTICS

Characteristic of TOPCO Nano Pulse method is a Pseudo-

Corona discharge (like a lightning bolt), which is generated
continuously.

This special slight current decomposes PbSO4 into fine

particles without damaging the surface of electrodes.

With this method, fine particles such as ions of Pb(minus),

ions of PbO2(minus), ions of SO4(minus), and H2O are
returned into electrolyte.

PRODUCT CHARACTERISTICS
Positive and negative electron ions are generated by causing an
instantaneous capacitance discharge in the switching of the peak
values of the positive and negative waveforms.

The reason for emphasizing the characteristic of instant discharge

of sword shaped falling is that it generates a lot of negative ion
electrons to prevent lead wire rigidity (reducing resistance) from
the effect of removing static electric from the electrical system,
and PbSO4 is electrolyzed from plate by earthing effect.

Even in the positive current pulse waveform, it can be expected to Nano Pulse - Sword Waveform
improve fuel efficiency by improving conductivity due to the effect
of electrode activation - Shorten Cranking Time.

● The product enhances the battery life by three times.

● It decomposes PbSO4 into fine particles without damaging the electrodes.
● It refreshes the electrolyte so that the battery works like new.
● It recovers battery performances and improves current efficiency of the battery.
● Lead Acid battery contain lead, acid, and chemicals which are hazardous to the
environment if not disposed properly. This means that a lead acid battery
needs to be disposed of carefully after its useful life is over. TOPCO reduces the
disposal frequency of battery by increasing the life of battery. Thus, TOPCO
protects the environment by saving our resources.
● The best time to use the product is three months before battery warranty is
going to expire. The battery should have minimum 11.8v left.
● Available in two variants 12V and 24V.
● As the battery life is enhanced, logistic
requirements of storage and transportation is
greatly reduced which cannot be figuratively
tabulated, as not only storage space but persons
required for handling is also reduced. This cost
saving in manpower cannot be quantified.
● Charging stations requirement is greatly reduced as
this has to be attached to the battery and thus it will
not be required to go to the workshop for charging.
● The item is so light that it can be easily man
ported to any locations.
