Whether we realize it or not, meals have become an essential

part of life. And the same is true for Easterners and

Westerners. There are a lot of differences between the meal of
Easterners and Westerners regarding eating culture and the
decoration but also that both of them are similar in terms of
meanings or dish ingredients.
To begin with, the meals of Easterners and Westerners
have something in common. Firstly, both of them make sense
for the family. Mealtime is the time for everyone in the family to
gather together and share what they have done during the day.
Moreover, the meal also brings the connection with people.
Secondly, the two also have dish ingredients for the meal. For
example, both of them use nutritious food such as protein, fiber,
fat, and carbohydrate. Moreover, in every meal, they have a
main course and a dessert.
On the other hand, there are some distinctions between
the meals of Easterners and Westerners. First of all, this is an
eating culture. Easterners use chopsticks mainly but
Westerners only use knives, spoons, and forks. In addition,
Westerners do not talk while eating because they want to avoid being impolite, rude.
In contrast, Easterners often talk during meals, creating closeness,
fun, and intimacy. Secondly, Westerners decor dishes more
meticulously than Easterners. Every Eastern dish is usually decorated
with extra something such as flowers or some sauce. But Westerners
are not because they do not pay attention to taste, color, or form, they
only focus on the nutritional content of the meal.
In conclusion, the meals of Easterners and Westerners
make sense of life and the difference between the two bring the
special to each other.
