During the call, the AFP suggest you ask the following questions:

During the call, ask the following questions:

Where did you put the bomb?

What does the bomb look like? What type of bomb is it? What’s in it?

When is it going to explode?

Did you put it there? Why did you put it there?

What’s your name? Where are you? What’s your address?

What do you want?

After the call, try to record the following information:

The caller’s voice (accent, volume, tone, loud/soft, fast/slow, calm/emotional)?

Were they well spoken, rambling, silly, crazy, abusive?

Did you recognise the caller? If so, who was it? Do you think they were familiar with the port?

Was it a taped message?

Were there any background noises? For example, were there any street noises? Did you hear any noises to indicate they were
in a house? Were there any vessel, aircraft, vehicle or machinery sounds, voices or music?

Was the person male or female? Their age?

How long was the call?

Then record the following information:

Your name and telephone number;

The date and time of the call;

Who did you report the call to, and when?
