I am very proud to have been elected for a house captain role.
Last year I decided to apply for a leadership role to
represent one of the four houses in my school. I wrote a number of drafts for my speech and did several revisions as well as practiced the speech in front of my family and friends. House captain was the first leadership role I had tried to get and was incredibly happy when I was selected to represent my school in such a position.
4. I would like to describe the inquiry project that I worked
on this year. In this project, I had to pick a country in the Asia-Pacific region, do research on it and find out its relations with Australia. I picked Vietnam because I have been there and wanted to learn more about this country and how it relates to Australia. I found this assignment very interesting and enjoyed it a lot as it tested my skills as a researcher and allowed me to discover many interesting facts about Vietnam. For example, I did not know before that the Vietnamese traditional religion is one of the only beliefs on the planet in which the central figure is a goddess. there is a goddess in the main role.
3. I am a very curious and open-minded person and love
learning new things. I always go out of my way to find out more information about everything. I love learning interesting facts. Recently, when driving to my piano lesson, I was listening to the radio and was very surprised to learn that elephant seals only sleep for two hours a day! Another one of my positive traits is that I’m a resilient person. For example, while some people may stop working on a task after receiving negative feedback, I will keep trying to improve my work even if I am upset. I believe that these qualities are vital for a profession in the medical industry and a position at this school.
4. If I get accepted into BSSSC Biomedical Science Academy, I
will do my best to apply myself and uphold the school values. I will always commit to my work in and out of the school curriculum and do my best in performing every task I am given to the highest standard. Living in a such multicultural country as Australia and myself speaking a language other than English, I understand the importance of inclusivity and acceptance of otherness. In my leadership role as a house captain, I showed myself as an open-minded and ethical person, who listens and values others’ opinions. I care about and respect the people around me and always try to act genuinely. I always try to do the right thing and am sure I will make a positive contribution to the school community through my actions and beliefs.
Behave honourably DO CORRECT CHOICES DOING THE RIGHT THING BEING MORAL GENUINITY HONEST I respect and care deeply about people around me and always try to behave .
