A Shopkeeper sells 8 kg mixture of two varieties of Rice I and II, where quantity of Rice I
variety is more than that of Rice II variety. Cost price per kg of variety I is Rs. Z and that of II is
(Z – 16). Shopkeeper sells entire mixture at Rs. 312 thus makes profit of 50%. Find the
maximum possible cost price per kg of variety II, if quantity of each variety is distinct natural
number.

Vessel P and vessel Q each contains 800 ml of mixture of milk and water, in which water is
33% and 17% respectively. Z ml from vessel P is removed and then Y ml from vessel Q is taken
then filled into vessel P, such that vessel P attains initial quantity. Now percentage of milk in
vessel P becomes 79%. Find the amount of mixture left in vessel Q?

A person invested total of Rs. 40000. He invested some money in scheme P 20% for three
years, and rest money in scheme Q and R in ratio of 5:3 for three years at 12% per annum
interest and 50% per annum interest respectively. If total interest received by him after three
