Guwahati.

● Assam medical colleges to implement Village and Community
Outreach Programme for the MBBS students to learn
communication skills along with the various cultural factors
affecting community health.

Kshetra over the next three years.

are announced known as Ashtadasa Mukhtar Unnoyon Mala.
Mukhya Mantri Nijut Moina scheme
● Announced in Assam Budget 2024-25.

● One of the 18 Ashtadasa Mukhtar
Unnoyon Mala.
● Only unmarried girls will be eligible for
benefits under the scheme and they will
have to study in a government run
institution.
The scheme will fulfill two objectives-
● Increase girls enrollment in higher
education.
● Bolster Assam government mission to
eliminate child marriage.
Assam Microfinance Incentive and Relief Scheme (AMFIRS)
● Hon’ble Chief Minister, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma
Dangoriya, formulated the Assam Microfinance Incentive
and Relief Scheme (AFMIRS), 2021
Provisions of Assam Micro Finance Incentive and Relief
Scheme-2021
1. Budgetary allocation of Rs 7,500 crore.
2. Categorisation of the borrowers in three groups
a. Regularly repaying-Rs 25,000 money assistance
b. Who didn’t pay for 1-89 days- Rs 25,000 and clearing
off of overdues
c. “stressed and destitute” whose loans have been
rendered Non Performing Assets (NPA)-complete
waive off
For the third category, applicants need to apply through a
format for consideration under the scheme.
Current budget
● One Assam Microfinance Incentive and Relief Scheme
(AMFIRS) for Category III will be launched
Chief Minister Atma Nirbhar Asom Abhijan
● Scheme to help the youths of the state

set up their own ventures.
● Under the scheme, financial aid will be
given to two lakh youths for creating a
robust entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Youth to be categorised in 2 groups-
1. Youth with technical degrees
● Unemployed degree holders in
engineering, MBBS, BDS, agriculture,
animal husbandry, fishery etc will be kept
in the first category and given Rs 5 lakh.
2. Youth with general degree or below
graduation
● Unemployed post-graduates, general
graduates, ITI, and polytechnic pass-outs
will be kept in the second category for
government assistance of Rs 2 lakh.
