Analysis:
The mode of inheritance of the variant characteristic from all the cross is autosomal
recessive. The parental fruit flies passed down traits with the combination of their recessive alleles
which resulted to a variant characteristic. Since our chi-squared value is 0.36 which is significantly
less than the critical value, then we accept that the data observed are consistent with the expected
F2 ratio.
