Dear Students,

Please follow the below instructions during your English Exam to obtain 95 and above marks

1. Write Main Question number outside the left margin/border and Sub Question number
inside the left margin.
2. Maintain neat and clear handwriting from the beginning to the end. Write 10 to 12 words
( including sub headings) on a line. Avoid writing below 10 words on a line.
3. Use blue ink for running matter from the beginning to the end and black ink for underlining
key words. Do not underline more than 10 words out of 100 words answer. (10%)
4. Try to answer all the questions and sub questions in serial order. Begin from section-A.
5. Do not write side by side at any cost.
6. Do not write the answers for the sub questions on different pages. For example, in the
question form filling, you have to answer 8 sub questions. Write all answers on same page
one below the other.
7. Marks will not be awarded for Section-C answers if you write in jumbled way i.e. (iv), (i),
(viii), (iii) etc.
8. It is better if you write sub headings for annotations i.e. Reference, Context, Explanation
and Comment. If not write it in two paragraphs i.e. about the lesson and the author in para
one and main content in para two.
9. Paragraph answers are to be written in two paragraphs i.e. about the lesson and the author
in para one and main content in para two.
10. See that Questions 1, 2, 3, 4, 5,15,16,17,18 and 20 are to be answered in not less than 100
words and not more than 130 words.
11. Questions 6,7,8,9,,11,12,14 and 19 are to be answered in a word or a phrase or a sentence.
You are not supposed to answer them in descriptive manner.
12. A table in the pattern given in the question is to be drawn while answering the question 13
( verb patterns)
13. Stress mark ( vertical bar ) is to be placed at the beginning of the syllable i.e.

1. 'apple,
2. at 'tempt,
3. tech 'nique

Note: You will not get marks if you underline or italicize the letters
14. You have to follow correct formats for Letter Writing, CV/Resume Writing and Note Making.

Please follow the above guidelines to the fullest and obtain 95 and above.
