Data Integrity After a Database Update

1 Introduction
This document describes the changes that have been made to the NQDI database
since the Diversity 10.3.0 software release.
R&S SwissQual recommends that you create a backup of your NQDI database before
you run the 22.2 database update script.

1.1 Data Integrity After a Database Update

The update process adds, deletes, and modifies tables in an NQDII database.
When you update a database that contains measurement data, the following informa-
tion applies:
● New tables and items do not contain data, that is, the reports that are based on
these tables and items will be empty
● Data that was in a deleted table or item are no longer used by the new NQDI ver-
sion
● Some modifications are mentioned directly near the affected table or item

You might need to create a new database and re-import your measurement files to
make use of new measurement categories in the database.

Some major changes were done with release 18.0.
● SQL Filegroups:
