The fundamental concept of generator involves converting mechanical energy into electrical energy.

A
DIY generator using a dynamo is a simple and practical way to generate electricity.

Good Afternoon everyone, My name is Francis Dale A. Acibo, the presenter of Group 2, and I will show
you the step-by-step explanation of how this DIY Generator works.

First of all, we have to know the

1. **Dynamo Basics:**

A dynamo is a type of generator that converts mechanical energy into electrical energy. As it is
activated, it generates an electric current.

Here are the

2. **Materials Needed:**

1st we have - **Dynamo:** Obtain a small hand-cranked dynamo. You can find these in hobby shops
or online.

Then we have the - **Base:** Prepare a stable base or structure to mount the dynamo securely.

And finally the - **Handle:** Create or find a handle that can be attached to the dynamo for manual
cranking.

After knowing all the materials, we can now proceed on

3. **Mounting the Dynamo:** Attach the dynamo securely to the base so that it remains stable during
operation.

Then we have

4. **Electromagnetic Induction:** As the armature spins within the magnetic field, electromagnetic
induction occurs. This means that the changing magnetic field induces an electric current.
Then the

5. **Output Connections:** Connect the output terminals of the dynamo to the device you want to
power. You may need to use wires and connectors for this purpose.

After that, we will now proceed on

6. **Cranking the Handle:** Begin cranking the handle. The mechanical energy you apply to the
handle gets converted into electrical energy through the dynamo.

Then we have this,

7. **Powering Devices:** The generated electricity can be used to power small electronic devices like
this small light emitting object.

In summary, a mini generator transforms mechanical energy into electrical energy through the
principles of electromagnetic induction.

Keep in mind that the power output of a DIY generator is limited, and it may not be suitable for high-
energy-demand applications. However, it serves as a practical and educational way to understand the
basic principles of electricity generation.

So that's all for today’s presentation. Once again, My name is Francis Dale Acibo, the presenter of
group 2. Thank you and good afternoon.
