INTRODUCTION

1.1. Identification of Client /Need / Relevant Contemporary issue

The contemporary need for e-commerce website development arises from the growing importance
of establishing a strong online presence for businesses in today's digital age. The COVID-19
pandemic has further accelerated the shift towards online shopping, making it crucial for companies
to adapt and reach a wider audience through e-commerce platforms. Statistics project a significant
increase in global e-commerce sales, providing evidence of the sector's potential for businesses.
Small and large companies alike recognize the need to transition to e-commerce but often lack the
technical expertise required for effective website development and management. Conducting
surveys among businesses struggling with online sales or lacking a digital storefront could further
validate the client's need for e-commerce website development services. Reports from reputable
agencies, such as the U.S. Small Business Administration and the National Retail Federation, also
emphasize the importance of e-commerce for business competitiveness and growth. Understanding
and addressing this contemporary issue can provide valuable insights into the world of e-commerce
