● Crankcase breather hose pulled off pressure


regulating valve and sealed.
● Radiator fan must not run.

● To check ignition timing, set control unit to
basic setting _04_, display group 00 or 01 with
V.A.G 1551.

● Pull plug off coolant temperature sender at idling
speed.
Passat 08.92▸
● Control unit brought into basic setting function
_04_
with V.A.G 1551, display group 01.
Notes
● Engine must not be started when connector is
detached
from coolant temperature sender. Otherwise
control unit performs
an emergency programme, correct adjustment
not possible.
