Guide Questions:
A. Why You Teach
 What is the purpose of education?
The purpose of education is to help the student attain enough knowledge that
will enable them to realize the importance of every word or every thought that
we share as their teacher. Education can make big changes in society by
providing the world the professionals who have skills and knowledge in their
specific jobs.

 What is your role as an educator?

My role as an educator is to: (1) be a good role model to my students; (2) be
an expert in teaching; (3) have knowledge of the content and know how to
teach the content effectively; and (4) to be a guide and counselor to my
students.

B. Whom You Teach

 How will you reach the diverse students in your classroom?
When we become teachers we will encounter diverse students or students
who have different demographic backgrounds. I will address them equally. But
how? Know their background first. I should look for their background
information like culture, religion, age, learning ability, etc., then know what do
and don'ts to not hurt their feelings. If the classroom is multicultural and
multilingual diverse I will use language that everyone knows or the lingua
franca of my country. If they don't know how to speak Filipino or English I will
have a special intervention for those students. If the classroom with sped
students, I will encourage those students to apply to special education
classes. If the classroom is a multigrade class, I will know first their behavior,
interest, and level of academic knowledge. If the classroom has multiple
intelligences and students and learner-centered then, I will know which

particular skills they are good at and sharpen it and develop their learner-
centered skills.

 How do you define your community of learners?

In my opinion, a community of learners is those people who want to acquire
knowledge and skills regarding their culture, age, gender, religion, etc.

C. How and What You Teach

 What are your beliefs about how students learn?
I believe that students learn in the learner-centered classroom because they
develop their critical thinking, self-discovery, and curiosity. They are the ones
who construct their knowledge and gain this knowledge through
experimentation.

 How will your beliefs affect your teaching? Think about management,
instructional strategies, curriculum design, and assessment
I believe that my beliefs affect my management in teaching through my form
of discipline. My form of discipline is not to become the model of society but
how they will fit in society. In instructional strategies, they are the ones who
discover and know information. In curriculum design, this is learner-centered
design. Lastly, in assessment, was a more objective type of assessment.

 How do you balance the needs of the individual learner with the needs of the
classroom community?
First, I asked this individual student and myself can I provide without the
others being envious. For example, if one of my students fails an exam then I
will adjust the number of items in which the student will pass but this
adjustment will affect also all students.

 What are your goals for students?

My goal as a teacher to my students is for them to learn the topic in which
they will remember, distinguish, and apply it. I want them to have a good
attitude towards others and learn by themselves.

D. Where You Teach

 How will you bring global awareness to your classroom?
I believe that I will bring global awareness to my classroom by practicing
multicultural environments like celebrating the different festivals in different
provinces. Through this, they will know the different culture and have a
respect towards their culture. Also empowering the student to become leaders
and teachers by have them to report in front of the class.

 What will be your relationship with the community, parents, teaching

colleagues, and administration?
My relationship in the community is to become a leader in every advocacy
that will help the students. My relationship with parents is founding an
organization that will address the student's needs and interests and to know
their background. My relationship with my teaching colleagues is talking about
what instructional strategies we are going to use for our students. Lastly, my

relationship with the administration is to talk about student needs in the

school.
