*Starry Night:
- a sky which is full of stars at night and
there is a crescent moon to the upper
right-hand corner of the painting.
- there is a tall green cypress tree which
reflects Van Gogh’s illness during 1889.
- there is a village in a rural area with a
number of houses with lights and a church.
- on the far side, there are several hills and
a mountain.

*its meanings:
- the swirls of stars represent freedom,
while the cypress tree
symbolizes/represents the poor physical
state of health of Van Gogh
- my interpretation of this painting is that
all of these symbols reflect his emotions
and hopes in spite of depression, stress
and anxiety that he had been suffering
from.
- the lights which come from the houses
convey a very meaning message to all art
lovers: there is always a light at the end of
the tunnel.
- “Life changes when we change” by
Andrew Matthews (a book about life
philosophies). My elder sister gave it to
me on my birthday when I was at
secondary school
- “Totto-Chan: The Little Girl at the
Window” by Tetsuko (a non-fictional book
about a life story of a girl named Totto-
Chan). My elder brother gave it to me as a
token of appreciation because I did a small
favor for him.
*Totto-Chan: is suited to all kinds of
readers of different age groups. However,
it would appeal to teenagers and
adolescents more because it is about
something that they can relate to.
*Totto-Chan: when she moved to a special

- a beautiful dress that I bought at a
boutique (a fashion shop) called JM Design
at Mega Mall shopping center in Times City
near my house. It cost me around 1 million
VND. I purchased it as a gift for my wife on
her birthday as a token of appreciation for
her kindness and faithfulness.
- a handcrafted pen that I bought at a
stationery store located near house. It cost
me around 50.000 VND. I purchased it as a
gift for one of my close friends as a token
of appreciation for our friendship.
