Standard Operating Procedure for the OQ of Precisa Balance BJ 2100D

Prerequisites
The balance should be switched on for at least 1 hours before the start of the test. The location must
be calm and free from vibration. Clean the balance and adjust it. Acclimatize test weights to
surroundings.

Span Calibration (Sensitivity Adjustment)

Maximum permissible error: 0.5 g
Test weight: 2000 g

1. Tare
2. Place the test weight (2000 g) on the centre of the weighing pan, print or note the value.
3. Determine the difference between the test weight calibration report and the display.
4. Acceptance criteria: Difference between nominal value and display  0.5 g
5. If the deviation is more than the maximum permissible error, a Precisa service engineer must
perform a span adjustment.

Repeatability
Maximum permissible error: 0.2 g
Test weight: 2000 g

1. Tare the balance

2. Place the test weight (2000 g) on the weighing pan, print or note the value.
3. Lift off test weight, tare.
4. Repeat Steps 2 and 3 for the next 9 weighing procedure.
5.Acceptance criteria: standard deviation  0.2 g

Eccentricity Test
Maximum permissible error: 0.5 g
Test weight: 800 g

1. Tare
2. Place the test weight (800 g) on the centre of the weighing pan, print or note the value.
3. Shift the weight to the next corner as indicated in the diagram, print or note the value.
4. Repeat for the other 3 corners and again for the centre
5. Acceptance criteria: largest value – smallest value  0.5 g

Linearity Test
Maximum permissible error: 0.5 g
Test weights: 500 g, 1000 g, 1500 g, 2000 g

1. Tare the balance

2. Load test weight 1, print or note value
3. Repeat for the other 3 weights
4. Acceptance criteria: all Differences between nominal weight and display  0.5 g
