Dear Sir, With reference to the above cited subject, IE would like to bring to Concessionaire attention. The filter media is eliminated in RE wall design therefore it is mandatory to provide perforated pipes to drain to water. Hence, Concessionaire is request to the installation of perforated pipes in the retaining wall portion within the concession area. ‘As Concessionaire may be aware, proper drainage is essential for preventing water accumulation and ensuring the structural integrity of retaining walls. Without adequate drainage, water pressure can build up behind the wall, leading to potential damage such as bulging, cracking, or even failure. To mitigate these risks and maintain the longevity of the retaining wall, it is imperative to install drainage sprout pipes that allow for the effective drainage of water. These pipes will help redirect water away from the wall, preventing hydrostatic pressure build-up and minimizing the risk of structural damage. IE request that Concessionaire to proceed with the installation of perforated pipes in the retaining wall portion as soon as possible. The installation should be carried out in accordance with industry standards and best practices to ensure optimal functionality and performance. Furthermore, IE intimate the Concessionaire that IE will measure for MPC payment after compliance of perforated pipe installation. This is for your information and necessary action please.
