Lesson 1 Host Notes

What is my Life about?


1. Introduce guests to Nanak Naam and Living with Wisdom (Please see
training guide if required).
a. How long does it last?
b. What to expect?
c. Outline and format
d. Please remind everyone that this group only works best if everyone engages
– Please explain that there is no pressure or expectation to speak, but
everyone has the option to do so comfortably.

2. Watch the videos and excerpts.

3. Request the members to introduce themselves:


a. Your name & where you're from?
b. One interesting and unknown fact about you?
c. Why you have come to this course and what you hope to gain from it?

Discussion Questions:
1. Do you believe that there is a purpose for your life?
2. What is your understanding of God and life?
3. What do you feel is a human being's highest nature?
4. Why do we need to recognize our true selves?

Practice of the day:


1. Each morning take a few moments to practice connecting with yourself.
2. When feeling agitated, remember your universal life force and chant this mantra:
"I am with you, You are with me".

1. Notice whenever you start to feel uncomfortable, stay with the feeling and
observe it.
2. Balance it out by thinking of three things that you are grateful for at that
moment.
