 Completed the settlement at field Office, Butwal
 Visited Kalikanagar to see the building for office, building was sufficient for office room but
there was not hall so did not consider further.
 Partner has explored building in two areas so we will visit and finalise soon.

Interaction meeting with vegetable traders to orient on KISAN BIZ Mobile app

Background

A short interaction meeting was organized with vegetable traders on 15 February 2018 at
Kohalpur for providing orientation on mobile app for wider business linkage. Vegetable traders
associated with agriculture product marketing management committee of Kohalpur were invited
in the meeting. All together 8 participants were participated in the meeting. BICAS team from
central, regional and district were also participated in the meeting.

Objective
The main objectives of the meeting were;

 To orient vegetable traders on mobile app for wider market linkage


 To pilot and test KISAN BIZ app for promoting market of agriculture and non-agriculture
products
 To enhance wider business linkage among producer and traders

Methodology

Interaction meeting was started from Dev Datta Bhatta, PM of BICAS through giving brief
background information of BICAS project. After the brief presentation of BICAS project, Mrs.
Menila Kharel, Program Coordinator of Practical Action had given detail information about mobile
app system for making wider business linkage between buyer and seller. Practical demonstration
of mobile app system was done from Dr. Sujan Piya, Team Leader, Practical Action and Menila
Kharel to the traders for providing practical skill to use and operate online mobile app system of
KISAN BIZ.

Output of interaction

The major outputs of the orientation of mobile app system are as below;

 Traders received detail information about KISAN BIZ mobile app system
 Participants got practical skill of online use and operation of mobile app

Conclusion

Short interaction meeting with traders for orientation on KISAN BIZ mobile app system was
successfully carried out as per objectives. Traders were very much encouraged and satisfied to
know about the KISAN BIZ mobile app system developed in BICAS project as it would help to
make wider market linkage between buyer and seller. They said, this system will also make
opportunity to make business linkage at different sites and location where they have not
connected yet. They are also hoping, this system will be more useful to make wider business
linkage in future.

Interaction meeting with vegetable traders to orient on KISAN BIZ Mobile app

Background

A short interaction meeting was organized with vegetable traders on 2 April 2018 at Atariya and 3
April 2018 at Dadedhura for providing orientation on mobile app for wider business linkage.
Vegetable, fruit and meat traders associated with agriculture product marketing management
committee of Atariya and Dadeldhura were invited in the meeting. All together 28 participants
(14 participants in Atariya and 14 in Dadeldhura) were participated in the meeting.

Objective

The main objectives of the meeting were;

chain actors and he promised to organise such meeting from their resources and leadership on
coming days.
 Traders received information on online marketing system through KISAN BIZ mobile app.
They said, this would be very beneficial to them to diversify their linkages, as it would help to
make linkage with producers from different location and districts.
