S – She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, [a] because he will save
his people from their sins.”

O – This chapter is an eye opener to everyone that god gave his only son just to save us from our
sins. He saves us.

A – Now a days, some people viewed helping others too hard. So as a son of God who is ready to
wide my hands to offer help, I will do things that are possible just to help others and do good
things to other. Because I will surely benefit of it even without receiving something in return.
Just like what God done just to save us.

P – God, as you sacrifice your Son to save us from our sins, as your son I will lend my hand to
others as much as I could.

S – and he went and lived in a town called Nazareth. So was fulfilled what was said through the
prophets, that he would be called a Nazarene.

O – This scripture emphasizes that God knows best, trust God’s plan every time.

A – This scripture tells me that I should listen to God and obey Him. It also reminds me that
God knows best for me, its always his plan for me.

P – To Him be all praise and glory, honor and might, majesty, dominion and power, for ever and
ever.

S – And a voice from heaven said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.”

O – God emphasize that Jesus is his son, whom he loves. This scripture affirms Jesus is the Son
of God.

A – Accepting Jesus is our savior and the Son of God.

P – We praise you God, the Son, Jesus who set the example for us, who lived a perfect life, who
fulfilled all righteousness.

S – Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that
comes from the mouth of God.’[a]”

O – This scripture emphasize that man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that
comes from the of God. It means that not only the body needs to be full, but also the spirit needs
to be full by praising and loving God.

A – This tells me the importance of sustaining my spirit from God’s word. Learning the Gospels
and spread the word is one of sustaining spirit of man.

P – God, forgive me that I am materialistic and spending my money for foods that I eat. I shall
live with your word.

S – But I tell you that anyone who is angry with a brother or sister[a][b] will be subject to
judgment. Again, anyone who says to a brother or sister, ‘Raca,’[c] is answerable to the court.
And anyone who says, ‘You fool!’ will be in danger of the fire of hell.

O – This scripture emphasizes that insulting and being angry to others will be subject to
judgment. This pertains that every hate to other man is a sin.

A – This scripture tells me that I will be humble and kind for everyone, no matter how big their
sin is, they still need to be forgiven and not insulted.

P – Lord, let my heart be cleansed of all bitterness. Also, Lord help me to keep my strength to
take insults from others and doing nothing. Lord, give me courage to live in this world.

S – “Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them. If you
do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven.

O – This scripture emphasizes that helping is not necessarily to be seen by others or announce it
to public. Telling others that you’re helping will have no reward from our Father.

A – This scripture tells me that it doesn’t matter if I help needy without knowing of others. It
reminds me that helping is more convenient without the knowing of others.

P – Our Father, help me to keep my lending hand longer to reach needy people.

you.

O – This scripture emphasizes that God is listening to everyone. This tells that Jesus tells his
listeners to ask, to seek, and to knock. And it will be given by God.

A – This scripture tells me that if I need anything I should come to God, and it will be given.

P – God, I thanked you for anything you have done into my life. As you forgive of what I have
sins, in exchange of sharing your gospels to others.

S – When Jesus heard this, he was amazed and said to those following him, “Truly I tell you, I
have not found anyone in Israel with such great faith.

O – This scripture emphasizes that Jesus have not found anyone in Israel with such great faith
except a centurion. Centurion has a great faith in Jesus, that he believes that in one word of
Jesus can heal his servant.

A – This scripture tells me that I need to increase my faith to Jesus and God. That God will
know my name by my faith unto him.

P – God, as I read Matthew 8:5-13, that a person who believes and have a great faith unto you,
will be healed.

S – When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and
helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.

O – This scripture emphasizes that Jesus had compassion on the crowds who have come to see
Him.

A – This scripture tells me that I need to share the gospel of God to others, to tell Jesus that
every man can change and be his followers.

P – Lord, may we be filled with compassion when we see the lost around us. Break our hearts for
what breaks Yours.

S – Whoever does not take up their cross and follow me is not worthy of me.

O – This scripture emphasizes that those who do not willingly to take up their cross are not
worthy to follow Jesus.

A – This scripture tells that Jesus is calling me to partake the cross and I will be worthy to be his
follower.

P – God, as I partake the sufferings of your Son, give me courage and hope.

S – Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you
will find rest for your souls.

O – Lord Jesus Christ tells me to take His words and learn from Him. The scripture emphasize
that Lord is gentle and humble in His heart, he is not unkind.

A – This scripture tells me to pass the words of God to others. It tells me to remember the
kindness of Jesus to learn it from him, for me to be gentle towards to others.

P – God, I express my gratitude to you with my warm heart, and for your Son, Lord Jesus
Christ.

S – You brood of vipers, how can you who are evil say anything good? For the mouth speaks
what the heart is full of.

O – This scripture tells me that even evils can say anything good, words can cover the person’s
inner thoughts and heart. This tells me to speak in cautious and in a manner way towards to
others.

A – This scripture tells me to not trust easily the words of others people, because words can hide
the person’s intent to me. It also reminds me that I should speak cautious that I can express
words from my pure heart to others.

P – God, please help me to think before I speak to be cautious, and to speak in a careful way.
God, I pray that every word I speak is a word that came out of from my pure heart.

S – “The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it
again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field.

O – This scripture emphasize that a person is willingly to sacrifice anything he possess to buy
what he really wants to find his happiness and joy. It means that we need to sacrifice anything to
enter in kingdom of heaven because we can’t go there with our things.

A – It tells me that I should be ready to sacrifice anything I have in this world to enter in the
kingdom of heaven, that full of joy. And as the day passes, I just appreciate what I have and
spend all I want here in this land, because I know something awaits me in the kingdom of
heaven.

P – God, thank you for letting me to know the kingdom of heaven, and reminds me that I can
enter your kingdom. And, I am willingly to sacrifice anything so that your kingdom can be my
treasure.

S – But Jesus immediately said to them: “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”

O – This scripture emphasizes that trust Lord and have a courage every time. It also emphasizes
that a person needs to be brave and not be afraid for all difficulties and temptations that they
encounter for everyday living.

A – This scripture tells me that I need to be brave for every step I will take, because God has
plans, and Lord is the hope that we can trust.

P – God, as I face all troubles of my life, help me to think cautious, and remind me that You
support my back. As I encounter it with courage and trusting you, God.

S – What goes into someone’s mouth does not defile them, but what comes out of their mouth,
that is what defiles them.”

O – This scripture says that every food that we eat does not depicts us as dirty people. But what
comes out of our mouth depicts that we are unclean people.

A – It reminds me to be a cautious speaker, that I need to think in a good manner way before I
speak.

P – God, Teach me to be mindful of the impact my words can have on others, and guide me in
choosing expressions of kindness, encouragement, and truth.

S – Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and
take up their cross and follow me.

O – This scripture emphasizes that disciples who choose to follow Jesus must sacrifice
everything to walk after Him.

A – It tells me the importance of sacrificing everything to follow Jesus. It means that I need to
willingly give away everything to have what you want.

P – God, I humbly submit my life to You and surrender myself for your loving care.

S – But I tell you, Elijah has already come, and they did not recognize him, but have done to him
everything they wished. In the same way the Son of Man is going to suffer at their hands.”

O – This scripture emphasizes that Elijah has come in this world and the people mistreated him.
It also emphasizes that Son of Man, refers to Jesus Christ, will also suffer at the hands of the
people.

A – This scripture tells me that I will be kind to any people who come into my life. I should open
my mind to the fact that God has unexpected ways of executing his plan. It reminds me that
every messenger of God has come into this world unexpectedly, and it’s not based on the written
words in the bible, but they will come.

P – God, help me to share this word to others so that people will never mistreat your messengers.

A – It tells me that I need to have mercy to others every time. I shall forgive anyone.

O – This scripture emphasizes that for nothing shall be impossible with God. It means that
there’s always possibility with God.

A – This scripture tells me that everything I do in this world, it must be with Him. God is always
in my heart to do all things possible.

P – Father, I thank You that what is impossible for me is possible for You.

O – This scripture emphasizes that we are given the right to ask Jesus of what we need in life.
This means that if we ask something we need to ask Jesus. This healing was done by Jesus
because of the persistently calling of the two blindmen to Jesus.

A – This scripture tells me to have a faith and persistent in prayer. It also tells me that if I need
something I need to ask God and work the things out by myself.

P – Heavenly Father, help me to overcome what I face difficulties in everyday, help me always to
be contented on what you bless me for everyday.

kingdom of God ahead of you.

O – This scripture emphasizes that repentance is a must. It means that no matter what sin you
have committed in the past, if you repent you are welcomed by God.

A – This scripture tells me to repent and be obedient to God, because this is important to forgive
what I have sins.

P – God, give me strength to share this gospel of yours to others. As I share this to others, give
me time to repent every day.

S – ‘I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’[a]? He is not the God of
the dead but of the living.”

O – This scripture emphasizes the reality of the life after death. It means that Abraham, Isaac,
and Jacob who physically died, are spiritually alive in the presence of God.

A – This scripture tells me that even if I’m physically dead, I will be spiritually alive in the
presence of God. Therefore, I am not scared of death but I don’t want to die soon.

P – God, I know we will be saved by you and will be alive in your presence. But God give me
long life to fulfill my dreams and to give my parents a better life.

exalted.

O – This scripture emphasizes the importance of humility in the Kingdom of God. It means that
we need to be humble rather than seeking prestige or putting themselves above others.

A – This scripture reminds me that I need to be humble all the time and not seek prestige. God
tells me that we need to lower ourselves to find honor, and not to put ourselves on shame.

P – God, teach me humble as you are humble and to be generous to other. Give me hope to be
fully alive all the time.

claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and will deceive many.

O – This scripture emphasizes that Jesus is warning us not to deceive to false messiah, claiming
to be the Christ. It means that we need to be vigilant in recognizing false teachings.

A – This scripture reminds me that I need to be vigilant in recognizing false teachings. Jesus
wants me to be prepared, watchful, and discerning in the face of challenging times and deceptive
influences.

P – God, give us strength in these difficulties that happening in our life and this world. Give us
smart thinking not to be deceived by false messiah. God, we are welcoming your son to come in
this world to save us.

Christ. It means that we believers need to be vigilant and prepared for the future, because of the

A – This scripture reminds me that I need to be vigilant in recognizing false teachings. Jesus
wants me to be prepared for his return. It means that I need to bready before Jesus close the
door of the kingdom of heaven.

P – Lord, grant me the wisdom to be vigilant and ready at all times. Guide me to be wise in my
choices and actions.

Jesus is claiming his position and revealing his divine identity.

A – This scripture tells me that I need to acknowledge Jesus’ identity as the Messiah, the son of
God. It reminds me that I need to committed to follow and believe in Jesus as the one who bring
salvation.

P – God, grant me the courage to stand firm in my belief that Jesus is the fulfillment of
prophecy, the promised Messiah who sits at your right hand.

O – This scripture emphasizes the prisoner, Jesus Barabbas who are guilty of what have sin.
People choose Barabbas to be released instead of Jesus who was innocent.

A – This scripture tells me to be mindful of the choices I make and to strive for decisions that
align with God’s values. Even though humans are bound to make mistakes.

P – God, Forgive me for the times when my choices have not aligned with your truth and
righteousness. Grant me the strength to resist the pressures of this world and to make choices
that honor and glorify you.

has commanded.

A – This scripture tells me that if I learn the teachings of God, I need to share it to others.

P – Lord, I pray for the wisdom and understanding to teach and obey everything that Jesus has
commanded. May your Holy Spirit empower me to live in accordance with your Word and to
share the message of your love and grace with those around me.
