Today we are going to discuss the Introduction to
Entrepreneurship.

Are you ready for the discussion? Yes Sir.

Can you define Entrepreneurship? Entrepreneurship includes the creation or

extraction of economic value. It is the act of
being an entrepreneur, or the owner or
manager of a business enterprise who, by risk
and initiative, attempts to make profits.
Entrepreneurs act as managers and oversee
the launch and growth of an enterprise.

Correct! Entrepreneurs are risk takers.

Why should we study Entrepreneurship? Is there Yes sir, because it is one of the growing career

are relevance? paths.

Very Good! Indeed, that we should gain knowledge

about this, because it is relevant to the society.
What are the Relevance of Entrepreneurship to an
Organization?

A. Development of Managerial Capabilities

this means that one of the benefits of an
entrepreneur gets is to develop his
managerial skills.
B. Creation of Organizations - which means
that because of entrepreneurship many
organizations will exist.
C. Improving Standard of Living – this means
that entrepreneurship can lift up the
economic status of an individual.
D. Means of Economic Development - this
means that not only the life of the
entrepreneur is improved but also the society
where business is located.

What is your self-explanation to the given terms?

That the importance of Entrepreneurship can
be felt everywhere, and a lot of job
opportunities will open because of this.
Correct! It provides jobs. .

Now, there is something called Concept of

Entrepreneurship. What is it? The word “entrepreneur” was derived from the
French verb entreprendre which means “to
undertake”
Right!

Factors Affecting Entrepreneurship?

 Personality Factor which includes:

Initiative – doing things even before being told.
Proactive – which means he can classify
opportunities and seize it.
Problem Solver – which means he can retain good
relations with other people.
Perseverance – meaning he will pursue things to
get done regardless of challenges.
Persuasion – means that he can entice people to
buy even if they don’t want to.
A Planner – he makes plans before doing things
and does not fail to monitor it.
Risk – taker – which means that he is willing to
gamble but he will calculate it first.

 Environmental Factors – which include

political, climate, legal system, economic and
social conditions and market situations.
