Assignment

My name is Arooba Bilal, I was raised in Jeddah, Saudia Arabia and did my
schooling there too. Growing up in this vibrant city has significantly influenced my
perspective on life. My experiences in the diverse environment of Jeddah have
shaped me into the person I am today, fostering a sense of community and
respect for different perspectives. As I navigate through life, I carry with me the
lessons and warmth instilled by my upbringing in Jeddah. As the only child in my
family, I navigated the early years of my life with a unique sense of independence
and curiosity. I spent a lot of time on my own, but I saw it as a chance to discover
things independently. I had a unique sense of freedom and curiosity, exploring
the world around me on my own terms. This solo adventure taught me to be
independent and figure things out by myself.
In my perspective, life is like a transformative journey, offering
abundant opportunities for learning and growth. Each day, I strive to maintain a
positive outlook and find joy in the simple things, even during challenging times.
Learning new things is a priority for me, and I firmly believe that facing challenges
is instrumental in personal development. Life is a constant exploration of meaning
and purpose. I approach each experience with thoughtful reflection, seeking to
understand the deeper significance of both joyous and challenging moments. I
value making connections with others and understanding different perspectives,
recognizing the importance of kindness to contribute to a better world. Another
significant aspect of my outlook is my genuine interest in helping people. I derive
satisfaction from understanding individuals, actively listening to their
perspectives, and accepting them just the way they are. Additionally, since
childhood, I've navigated life while struggling with anxiety and depression. This
personal journey has taught me resilience and a profound understanding of
mental health challenges. However, there are days when challenges and setbacks
make me doubt my abilities. In those moments, I've learned that failure doesn't
define my capabilities; instead, it presents opportunities for learning and growth. I
accept the difficulties, understanding that setbacks are a natural part of life's
journey. Reflecting on these moments allows me to identify areas for
improvement and approach similar situations with renewed perspective.
Believing in my capacity to learn from failures is a crucial step towards
overcoming challenges and moving forward. Despite moments of self-doubt, I
remind myself that each setback is a stepping stone toward personal
development and eventual success. This holistic approach shapes my outlook,
where life is not only about learning, connecting with others, and making things
better but also embracing setbacks as integral components of the journey toward
growth and fulfillment.
One of the significant moments from my childhood is when I experienced intense
loneliness and sadness. This core memory revolves around my struggle with
severe depression, anxiety and emotional abuse. The challenges I faced during my
childhood had a profound impact on me, affecting me deeply. Unfortunately,
there was no one around who could provide the help and support I needed, and I
had no one to share my feelings with. As a child, I lacked the understanding to
comprehend the complexity of what I was going through. It was a difficult time,
and the absence of someone who could understand and offer guidance left me
feeling lost and isolated, it made me miss the chance to have a carefree and
happy childhood. Instead, I had to focus on surviving each day. The difficulties I
faced back then are the reasons why I struggle with social anxiety and low self-
esteem now. Even with these challenges, I'm determined to overcome them and
regain a sense of normalcy and self-confidence. It's a tough journey, but I'm
committed to moving forward, inching towards healing and growth. In those
lonely moments, I unintentionally became stronger. Even though I was just a kid
and didn't fully understand everything, a kind of inner strength emerged within
me. I faced the weight of depression and loneliness with a determination that
surprised even me. Surviving those tough times became a proof of my strong
spirit, a silent victory over a challenge that, as a child, I couldn't fully understand.
This core memory represents a crucial part of my life. It shows not just the
difficulties I faced but also the quiet strength that appeared during a time when I
stood alone, facing the unknown. The echoes of that period stay with me, shaping
the way I stay strong and resilient as I continue through life's complicated
journey. When I was a kid, I didn't get to feel the happiness that usually comes
with being a child. The problems I dealt with stopped me from having the carefree
joy that many other kids have. It was hard for me to express myself because of
what I was going through. This difficulty not only hurt my emotions but also
caused me to lose friendships. The complicated situations I faced made it tough to
connect with others and have the usual childhood experiences, leaving me feeling
alone and experiencing a sense of loss. Losing my best friend, especially when she
attempted suicide, was a painful experience that left a lasting impact on me. I
found myself blaming myself for the challenges in the lives of the people I cared
about. The weight of their struggles, coupled with my parents' abusive marriage,
affected me deeply. These core memories still linger within me, but rather than
weakening me, they've become a source of strength and resilience. Despite the
hardships, these experiences have shaped me into a stronger and more resilient
person, allowing me to face challenges with a determination to overcome them.

I think characters with depth and multidimensional personalities are like really
interesting people in a story. They're not simple or one-sided, instead, they have
lots of different qualities and feelings that make them more real. These characters
aren't stuck in one way of thinking or feeling, they might want different things,
feel different emotions, and change as the story goes on. Just like how people in
real life can be happy, sad, confused, or excited, these characters show a whole
range of feelings. This makes them more relatable and helps the audience
connect with them because they feel like actual people. So, characters with depth
are like the heart of a good story, making it more interesting and meaningful.
Also, the characters who overcome adversity, face their fears, take risks, and stay
true to themselves are like beacons of inspiration within a story. These individuals
navigate through challenges and obstacles, demonstrating resilience and
determination in the face of adversity. Their journeys involve confronting fears
head-on, pushing boundaries, and making courageous decisions that propel the
narrative forward. What makes these characters particularly compelling is their
unwavering authenticity . They stay true to their beliefs, values, and identity even
when confronted with daunting situations. Whether it's overcoming personal
struggles, societal expectations, or external threats, their commitment to staying
true to themselves adds a layer of sincerity and relatability to the stories.
Characters who follow their passion bring a vibrant and inspiring energy to a
story. These individuals pursue their interests, dreams, and talents with a sense of
purpose and enthusiasm. Whether it's a creative pursuit, a career path, or a
personal calling, these characters embody the joy and fulfillment that come from
aligning one's actions with their passions.
I find situations that involve overcoming challenges particularly intriguing. These
challenges may manifest externally, requiring navigation through difficult
circumstances, or internally, involving the conquering of self-imposed limitations
and fears. The process of facing and overcoming such challenges not only fosters
resilience and perseverance but also leads to a profound exploration and
understanding of my own capabilities. I am drawn to scenarios that demand
growth, pushing me to confront obstacles and emerge stronger, both in terms of
skills and self-awareness. Overcoming personal obstacles, whether physical,
emotional, or mental, and emerging stronger from those experiences. Moreover,
solving mysteries that engage my mind and spark curiosity.

I am passionate about working in the drama genre, where the focus is on realistic

authentic narratives that resonate with genuine emotions and relatable
situations. I find fulfillment in crafting stories that not only entertain but also
provoke thought and evoke a strong emotional response from the audience.
Additionally, I am drawn to the thriller genre, where I can create intense and
suspenseful stories. The thrillers I aspire to work on will be characterized by
intricate plot twists and heightened tension, engaging viewers with unexpected
turns and gripping narratives. I am fascinated by the challenge of keeping
audiences on the edge of their seats, delivering a rollercoaster of emotions and
surprises that leave a lasting impact. Furthermore, my interest extends to the
mystery genre, where I can weave compelling narratives centered around solving
enigmatic puzzles. Crafting stories that invite audiences to engage in the process
of discovery and uncovering hidden truths is a creative endeavor that I find both
intellectually stimulating and emotionally rewarding. In essence, I am eager to
work across multiple genres, with a particular emphasis on drama, thriller, and
mystery. These genres offer diverse storytelling opportunities, allowing me to
explore the intricacies of human relationships, create gripping suspense, and
weave intriguing mysteries that captivate and resonate with audiences.
I want to tell stories about things that matter to people. Like showing problems in
society, exploring how people relate to each other, looking into the way our
minds work, and telling stories about personal growth and identity. I'm also
interested in creating suspenseful tales with hidden plots and mysteries. Through
these subjects, I aim to make stories that entertain but also make people think
and feel. I'm also keen on exploring moral dilemmas, putting characters in
situations where they have to make tough ethical choices. This adds depth and
challenges both the characters and the audience to think about right and wrong.
Additionally, delving into existential questions about life, purpose, and existence
intrigues me. It allows for a philosophical exploration that can resonate on a
profound level with the audience. Through these storytelling elements, I aim to
create narratives that entertain while also sparking contemplation on important
aspects of the human experience. Through these diverse subjects, my goal is to
create stories that not only captivate and entertain but also provoke thoughtful
reflection.

I want to become skilled at visual storytelling. I think I can be good at it, I believe I

feel something and tell captivating stories visually. Mastering these filmmaking
techniques will allow me to create a meaningful impact in the cinematic world by
crafting narratives that resonate with emotions. I'm enthusiastic about learning
more about the details of filmmaking, such as camera usage and scene

My artistic identity is a fusion of intentional storytelling, recurring themes,
emotional consistency, and chosen subjects. With a deliberate intent behind each
piece, I want to use my art to convey messages, evoke emotions, and establish a
