it is said that men should not indulge with women excessively , that brings about their downfall &
degradation , why is this not said about women also , are they not prone to downfall & degradation ?

Ans ----

Yes pr, what is you are saying is true according to sastra.

When scriptures instruct about men should not excessively engage with woman, it is implied that it
applies in vice versa with woman also.

We have example of devahuti in SB saying to kardama muni that I overindulged in sense gratification
and I could not take benefit of your exalted association in truth.

However there is surely psychological difference in the bodily machine of men and woman created by
lord by which generally men seek enjoyment from woman and woman seek wealth/facilities from men,
this also has to be kept in mind.

Because generally men are rational and should be spiritually oriented and strong by regular association
of genuine sadhus to take whole family toward a vaikuntha. If men are oriented for enjoyment then
whole family is misdirected including the wife/woman which are generally emotional. That is why
scriptures speak more about men as they are leaders of cultured family who should ideally seek guidance
from guru.

Ans --- you are asking this sincere question because you have heard with sincerity my class and you
desire to improve in your concentration. This is challenge for everyone practically only the degree varies.

Concentration means fixing mind on one thing for some period of time. More the power of
concentration more time you can fix mind on one thing.

Lord Krishna tells in BG about how to improve concentration when arjuna asks ------as soon as we detect
that mind has gone away from its intended purpose we have to bring the mind back using higher
self/intelligence.

From wherever the mind wanders due to its flickering and unsteady nature, one must certainly
withdraw it and bring it back under the control of the Self.

To increase concentration you need to strengthen your intelligence which can be done by “sincere trying
to be attentive chanting holy names” and “hearing SB and reading SP books while trying to understand
them”

This will surely attract krishna’s grace to you by which your concentration will improve.

prabhu ji, devotees should go for higher education and qualifications, and give time to material activities
or only engage in spiritual activities? as material things are called as vista.

In principle activities are categorized material or spiritual based on 1.our purpose of the activities and
2.are we doing under blessings of mentor/well-wishing superior/guru and krsna. Ask yourself these 2
questions.

Going for higher education with blessings while performing our daily KC commitments of chanting HK,
association of devotees is not at all vista.

Hare Krishna Prji, I have a doubt. We know Sri Krishna is one of the avatar of Sri Maha Vishnu like Sri
Rama avatar. But you are telling He is the supreme God can you explain prji.

According to authority of SB and gaudiya Vaishnava acaryas and Srila Prabhupada, Krishna is source of
all incarnations including Mahavishnu. Details you can read SB 1.3.28 purport.

All of the above-mentioned incarnations are either plenary portions or portions of the plenary portions of

There are 3 kinds of pramana/methods to gain knowledge --- pratyaksha/direct perception,

anumana/hypothesis or guessing, Sabda/hearing from bonafied authority.

Both pratyaksya and anuman are partially correct and have limitations to explain the truth.

We need to put faith on vedas based on scientific research done currently where so many of vedic
information is proven to be true now based on science. (like cow urine/dung is pure etc.)

You can tell such people that do u accept BG ? if yes, how is it that all versions of BG have same 700
verses all over the india and world. Earlier there was no source of easy transfer of vedic books, still all
versions of BG in north, south, east and west india have same version without any difference. If
someone has started some interpretation/change that should bring some difference in BG at different
places. This is not the case at all.

People believe on scriptures based on the faith they have on the sadhus/brahmans/people living by
following scripture and their interactions with them. It’s our responsibility to sincerely try to live ideal
life according to scriptures like BG and inspire others by our service attitude.

that mean Narayana's are born from Krishna and they have begining?

Yes Krishna is source of all Narayanas as told in SB 1.3.28 also Bhishma calls krnsa who is personally
present as “adyo Narayana” or “first/the original Näräyaëa”

Narayanas “manifest” from Krishna and not “born” from krsna directly. In brahma vimohan lila we can
clearly see that krsna manifested so many forms of Narayana instantly which bewildered lord brahma.
SB 10.14. Narayana don’t have beginning as Narayana is eternally existing in Vaikuntha.

always 16 yrs old young in Golok Vrindavan and time in Golok Vrindavan is present continuous?

If bala lila does not happen in goloka then what nanda maharaja and mother yasoda will do ? Birth
pastime do not happen in goloka but happens only in gokul/material world. All 5 rasas are experienced
by krsna and vrajvasis while exchanging pure love with eachother in goloka.

Karna and Pandavas had same mother but different characters. So, for a child's KC, upbringing is more
important or garbha samskara?

Both are important, before birth garbha samskara and after birth his upbringing. Most important is the
extent of Krishna consciousness of the parents/couple who are planning to conceive child because
according to their consciousness, aspirations and timing while conceiving the child, the soul will be sent
by lords arrangement. This is told in SB by lord kapila SB 3.31.1

The Personality of Godhead said: Under the supervision of the Supreme Lord and according to the result
of his work, the living entity, the soul, is made to enter into the womb of a woman through the particle of
male semen to assume a particular type of body.

So both garbha samskara and KC upbringing are important when done while practicing KC lifestyle daily.

prji, can u please tell, how Dronacharya, a brahmana is very competent in militaty arts??
In vedic times there were many types of brahmans and were called by different names also dvija, vipra,
Brahmana etc. Also there are different brahmans according to their knowledge of vedas. Dvivedi,
Trivedi, caturvedi etc.

Sronacarya had mixed inclinations of brahman as well as Kshatriya and he also fought war from kaurava
side (although in truth brahmans ordinarily will not engage in war/fighting).

Also earlier there were brahmans which were teaching different vidyas given in vedas. One of them is
dhanurvidya. So they would teach.

Hare Krishna pamho, question ::--though Bhima is commander in chief on day one of war. Why
Duryodhana is interacting with Dronacharya first ? he could have done similar discussions with Bhishma.

Because in vedic culture respect was given according to varsnasrama, so dronacarya being Brahman he
was first approached than Kshatriya bhishma who was nearby who was also hearing Duryodhana.

@haritha gourisetty - BG 1.46 says why Arjuna was the chosen one. He was kind and soft hearted person
and submitted himself to Krsna. Krsna says such person is fit to receive the knowledge

Today you will hear detailed answer of this explained at start of 2nd chapter.

SP says “Such a kind and soft-hearted person, in the devotional service of the Lord, is fit to receive self-
knowledge.” ----------means arjuna was sufficiently perplexed/confused after using all his knowledge of
scriptures and his experience and expert skills (giving logical reasons of not fighting).

This so to say “hunger” is extremely useful to receive knowledge from guru/krsna in case of arjuna. Just
as hunger makes the food more nourishing, satisfying and pleasing similarly sincere inquisitiveness born
out of confusion/perplexity due to material interactions in material world makes the knowledge coming
from guru more satisfying, nourishing and pleasing. This was arjuna’s fitness to receive the knowledge.

Its very good to recognize the fact that my anarthas are obstacles in KC life although earlier we thought
them to be source of pleasure. This is one bonafied stage in progressive practice of KC. So you are
walking on right path and continue walking on the same.

After regularly listening the lectures attentively, we should try to try to understand and assimilate the
principles told in lectures. If doubt comes clarifying the understanding by asking questions as you have
asked this one. And most importantly applying the principles we hear in our day to day life sincerely is
the way to diminish the anarthas. Off course, only krsna can remove anarthas so we must pray while
sincerely endeavoring to apply the principles told in lectures. Yasoda could bind krsna by her ardent
hardwork and krsnas mercy. So Krsna surely bestows mercy when we sincerely endeavor and sincerely
pray to krsna expressing our desire to serve him every day heartily.

SB tells how to diminish anarthas ---- SB 1.2.18

Nasta prayeshu abhadresu nityam bhagwata sevaya
Bhagawati uttama sloke bhaktir bhavati naishthiki.
By regular attendance in classes on the Bhägavatam and by rendering of service to the pure devotee, all
that is troublesome to the heart is almost completely destroyed, and loving service unto the Personality of
Godhead, who is praised with transcendental songs, is established as an irrevocable fact.
Also SB says – SB 2.8.4
çåëvataù çraddhayä nityaà
gåëataç ca sva-ceñöitam
kälena nätidérgheëa
bhagavän viçate hådi
Persons who hear Çrémad-Bhägavatam regularly and are always taking the matter very seriously will
have the Personality of Godhead Çré Kåñëa manifested in their hearts within a short time.

Success will be there and it will be according to krsnas perception of success and not necessarily always
the way you want to see success, as krsna sees on spiritual as well as material platform for his devotee
to give him all kinds of success at right time. Dhruva mj went to lord wanting success and he got pure
devotion and success both when he followed guidance of narada muni seriously. So we have to follow
footsteps of 5 year old boy Dhruva maharaja who attained all success by grace of krsna in 6 months.

Yes, Maybe many youths but not that every youth is like duryodhana, there are many people who have
better mentality than Duryodhana who are looking for meaningful life and can get benefited by this
knowledge of BG.

But the amazing fact is, If we try to help anyone whether the receiver gets benefit or not is not sure but
one thing is 110 percent sure is you/giver will get benefitted and you will get mercy of krsna by
preaching this BG.

K tells in BG 18.79 ----Krsna speaks about person who gives BG knowledge to others

Hard penance and discipline is required to implement the principles of BG.

Hard penance and discipline is to stay in association of devotee and try to follow morning sadhana
program as given by srila prabhupada, that is chanting prescribed rounds of HK, hearing SB in association
of devotees and taking prasadam etc. while doing our prescribed duty sincerely.

little more, what is it?

It will come in future chapters and even before also some explanation will be given when there is
explaination of svadharma of arjuna being Kshatriya. Just stay tuned for next 18 days you will get good
idea of what you want to know.

why did water demigod gave way to cross over for vasudeva for carrying Krishna but not Rama

Mother Yamuna served Vasudeva and baby krsna by giving way, and
Personification of ocean wanted to serve and help lord rama in every way after doing mistake of coming
late and experiencing anger of lord Rama.

SP says “After organizing the military strength of the monkeys and going with them to the shore of the
sea, the Lord awaited the arrival of Samudra, the ocean personified, but when Samudra did not come, the
Lord, the master of Samudra, became angry. Then Samudra came to the Lord with great haste and
surrendered to Him, wanting to help Him in every way. The Lord then attempted to bridge the ocean,
and, with the help of advice from Vibhéñaëa, He attacked Rävaëa's capital, Laìkä.”

So there is different ways to render service to lord and his devotees.

WE should not be killing mosquitoes or rats rather SP wanted us to be so clean that rats will not come
and for mosquitoes we can use mosquito nets. As all living entities are part and parcel of krsna our
common father. For mosquito it is not sin to drink our blood rather it is his food.

Vasudeva consciousness/Suddha sattva means free from four defects,

Sattvaguna means it has some tinge of rajas and tamas which will lead to defects surely.

Actually whatever we remember throughout life that’s what we can remember at time of death
naturally, whatever/whomever we are attached to that thing/person we will automatically remember at
time of death. You cannot plan to remember something at time of death which is extremely painful
moment of life (pain of 40K scorpions biting simultaenously) and we don’t even know when death is
going to come. So we must prepare throughout our life practice remembering krsna ----- and the process
is simple and enjoyable when practiced properly under right guidance. (Susukham karum avyayam…BG
9.2). SP says our process of KC is recreation that is Chanting dancing and feasting in association of
devotees. You can surely enjoy practicing KC. Krsna will give you intelligence to remember him at death
when we remember and serve krsna throughout our life. We can try fulfilling our desires in a KC way
while practicing activities of KC everyday like chanting HK, hearing BG as you are doing now.

You can request them to join this course if easily possible if they are interested in BG

Once he hears course, for him things will be clear what to read first. Also directly reading BG will be
beneficial surely but its not easy to understand for first time reader. There are 5 books like “essence of
BG series” which are very easy to understand for new reader and are very relevant for day today life.
They are all compiled from books of Srila prabhupada in thematic way. Also there is one book “Basics of
BG” published by BBT which is also nice guide for BG for new reader who is interested in BG.

Yes, correct. A true Kshatriya who possess qualities and does activities of Kshatriya is supposed to
become king. Not just a son of king becomes next king. Duryodhana was not qualified to become king
but dhritarastra wanted him to become king as he himself was attached to his son and kingdom both.
